My first online shooter was Counter Strike 1.6, where not having a full clip meant you were dead in any combat situation, so I instinctively reload after killing anyone, or shooting my gun at all.

It's a reflex at this point, I just hit R after I shoot. I don't even think about it anymore.

I'm a big fan unsalted walnuts. Something about them, they just feel so healthy. In a good way, like a "your body appreciates you for this" kind of way.

Sometimes I mix them with peanut butter and put them on a sandwich, it's so crunchy and delicious.

Well, it seems like you are mainly a rock kind of person. I've been listening to nothing but rap for a while now, but maybe I can look at some of my older music and see if I have anything you'd like.

I'm just grabbing random stuff from itunes...
In the past, I've really enjoyed:
Nine Inch Nails
The Offspring
Cake
Reel Big Fish
Flogging Molly
Sublime
Mindless Self Indulgence (I really liked them, a lot of people don't)
Xavier Rudd (Some great chill music)

Upon further reflection, I think you've probably already heard of all of these bands, but I'll bring them up just in case. It feels weird suggesting this type of music to someone, because as I said, I've been mostly into rap lately. If only you had asked for my favorite MC's.

This was a major problem for me in the 6 months before Burning Crusade came out. I was leveling a mage at the time, and he got stuck at about the mid 40s, all I wanted to do was make alts on the Horde.  It's fun at first, because at the early parts of the game you level up so fast that you feel like you're making a ton of progress in a small amount of time. The truth is, you're just blowing through easy content that you already know, but it still felt rewarding to get the new abilities.

What fixed it for me was figuring out what I wanted to do at End Game. I remember this distinctly, I made a druid 3 days before Burning Crusade came out, and it cured me of what me and my friends called "Altaholism." Since the druid class is such a varied hybrid, any desire I would have to try something new could be satisfied with a respec as opposed to restarting a character from scratch.

That being said, I still played plenty of other characters, but they were more of side projects than anything.  I raided on my druid, and even got my mage to 80. He was in the process of finding a guild for raids when I stopped playing.

As for your friends, I don't know if telling them to make a hybrid class would work. It sounds like they are pretty distracted by leveling alts. The only thing I can think of to suggest is that you could get yourself to 80, start raiding, and get the idea of them joining you implanted in their minds. Once they realize that the best part of the game is what lies at the level cap, they'll be in a hurry to get there.

I hope they get every cent they deserve. It's time Activision learned that they can't run their business like this.

And I thought the sealed copies of FF7 were ridiculous. Those don't even compare to this thing.

What you are suggesting would in theory cause more companies to produce consoles, which would  increase choice for consumers.

However, a standard set of hardware could be unrealistic for a hardware company. If Sony had gotten together with Sega 10 years ago and told them that they should both make consoles with the same specs as the PS2, do you think they could've afforded it? Of course not. Now, that may seem like a moot point right now because all three companies are making plenty of money, but that's not always the case. Hardware manufacturers need to be able to make systems they can afford.

If we ended up in a society where game consoles are sold like iPods or DVD players, how is the average consumer going to know which one they want to get? We will know, but will the average lady going to Wal Mart to buy a games system for their kid know? They might come home with a last gen system by accident, because all it says on the box is "Plays video games".

This is not a problem in DVD players, because having a sticker that says  "Plays Movies!" suffices, but when you are talking about something as hardware intensive as video games, it needs to be obvious. Hell,  I remember seeing people at Target get confused between the games for GBA and the GBA SP.

Also, would they be requiring all companies to use the same hardware, or just have the same specs? If it's the latter, then it would be even harder on developers when it comes to optimizing games (this happens a lot on PC), because the hardware is different. They would also have to test it for all those systems, instead of just the ones they are releasing on (360, PS3, Wii etc). If it's the former, then it's a monopoly, and that's a territory I don't want anything to do with.

My experience has always been it's fire or bust.

Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, They're always the most badass of the three. I save the other ones for the second playthrough.

I'll probably get Silver, because that's the version I played originally, and Lugia is win imo.

I am a fan of broken English. I think there's a beauty to how one can utilize partial words, or fragments, or grammatically incorrect phrases to get their point across. I think it's what lead me to rap music.

However, I am driven mad by the complete lack of punctuation. Now, I'm not going to critique someone for using a colon instead of a semicolon. That's ridiculous, and I'm not that anal about it, but for the sake of flow, people need to use commas. I hate having to re-read someone's post because I don't fully understand how they wanted it to sound when read aloud. It's a problem, for the way you read a sentence can change the entire meaning of it, it's why sarcasm doesn't work on the internet.

Also, and this is only formatting, I've noticed some people still posts walls of text. I remember a poster in another thread said something along the lines of:
" Press the enter key once in a while. It's good for you. "  <---- Sound Advice

Luckily, I think Giant Bomb is pretty good about this kind of stuff. Most people articulate their ideas well, and save for the occasional flame-war, everyone's pretty civil to each other. Intelligent conversation happens here, and that's rare for the internet.

I like to stack it up tall when I get a burger. Cheese, pickles, onions, some places even do onion rings. Lettuce is great, tomatoes, jalapeños, mushrooms, bacon, I went to a restaurant one time that did pineapple, that was interesting.

Heck, I've even put a chicken sandwich on a burger before. Ah, good old excess.
