The word is that this plan could cost $9.99 a month. That may be a deal-breaker for most until they turn their PS3 on for the first time in a month and download sixteen updates. And, yeah, I'm going to harp on that whole updating thing. I really wanted to play Heavy Rain the night I bought it. Instead of screaming for a Jason or crawling around in glass, though, I watched an update bar. Not as cool...
So, you'll pay $120 a year to bring the PS3 UI up to a point where it should be just by default? I had the same thing happen to me when I finally got LBP, but my thought wasn't "gee I wish I could pay them a monthly fee not to have this problem," it was "someone at Sony should be fired for thinking this is an okay way to design their UI."
I was looking at the screenshots and thinking "this looks awfully similar to BaboViolent" (an excellent game, btw). Then I read some more of the text and noticed that "Babo" is in this game's name... So it looks like maybe this is just some strange branding being put on the next-gen edition of BaboViolent, a game that has been around for quite some time.
