Oh gosh, I just found out I can't read the articles either. Was trying to read through abby's and the white text on black background is just as bad there too. I actually can't read any Goty lists... I'm so sad :'(
I miss being able to read the forums and wiki. Looking forward to those contrast/style fixes for the former. Hopefully any adjustment to the readability of the white text on black (or dark grey) box is available for the wiki as well as it's just as unreadable for me. I understand this stuff can't be changed overnight, and I just want to say thanks to the dev team for all their hard work again.
I would use the old forums and wiki (the ones where I could use the light theme) and the rest of the site as it is now. Basically any part of the site where I'm gonna be reading I need to not have the current dark theme cause I can't read the bright white text here for more than a few minutes without a headache or eye pain. (Thankfully the design team has said they're working on contrast/style fixes for this stuff)
I put yes, because 2/3 of the site is inaccessible for me as of now.
I'm genuinely looking forward to this. The trailer got a few laughs outta me and the buddy cop set up looks fun. Yes, the pokemon look weird, but after watching the trailer a few times I got used to it.
Thanks so much for the update @wemmick . It's very heartening to hear ya'll are reading this stuff and looking at what can be done to remedy some of the issues brought up.
If a game isn't fun to play, then the story has got to be really strong. I really don't care about how it looks if the other two aren't being done well.
@ares42 I suppose you're right about the photo not being much different than the forum itself if it's a display thing. I also partially posted it to show the difference between dark themes of here and discord. I have my monitor set to 100 brightness and have tried it on all the different screen settings and it's still very much bright white text against a black or very dark grey box.
Regardless of a person's monitor's (or whatever screen they're using) settings there's a design to the opposing colors that's not gonna be fixed on the user's end unless we use some kind of third party thing to invert colors. And also in reference to the display settings - if I turn down the brightness it makes the dark box blacker and highlights the white text against it even more, and if I have it at the brightest settings I can muster out of my display it lightens the black box ever so slightly, but the white text becomes even more luminescent and blurry.
But besides all the "is this box black or just dark grey?", the bright white text is the big problem here. I'm not getting eye aches from the dark colors of the site. It's the contrast of the text against a dark background. I hate to keep pointing towards discord (it's something I use daily so it's the first thing my mind compares this whole thing to), but the text there being more greyed in hue helps a ton.
