@efesell: My claim is based around 1: a known issue of ad rates for websites going WAY down, and 2: the aforementioned reasoning that you don't cut down a tree that bares fruit.
Contrary to popular belief, most businesses don't just get rid of products that make them money. And considering how many places are getting shut down lately, it's probably fair to assume that the money just isn't there in this industry the way it used to be.
@akira333: ...Historically, and removing all moral questions from the equation, slave labor was is pretty notoriously awful and inefficient because the slaves DON'T want to participate in the system. So they would often work slow, and intentionally break tools.
Also it is pretty disingenuous to compare treating human beings as cattle, and ....getting payed to do a job that subsequently makes money for the person paying you.
Fallout 3's DLC The Pitt. When you finally find out the thing you are stealing from the slaver kingpin during the slave rebellion is his infant child. I actually had to pause the game and collect myself to make the decision. In the end I wasn't able to do it. Something about that revelation was just too much for me.
That is pretty much what I was thinking of. Vinny and Alex in the same room would actually be enough. It opens up the door to, at least, some of the old Giant Bomb Dynamics.
Vinny and Alex troubleshooting a broken Xbox during the Def Jam stream was hilarious.
I mean, hell, best thing Nextlander has done, in my opinion, was Brad Playing VR RE7 while Alex and Vinny commented. It felt like the good old days. Stuff like that only gets better when you have the in person dynamic with at least 2 people.
@dodecalypse:I am abundantly aware. But at this point I care about them getting an office much more than Giant Bomb. I have sort of long since written them off as content I no longer enjoy. I'll occasionally check in, look at whats new, and go 'thats it, huh?" and move on.
