I was worried this game was going to be...not so great. I loved what Crystal Dynamics had been doing with the franchise since they took over and this take sounded like it was trying to hard to be dark, too realistic or too "gritty". Luckily this actually just a great action adventure game that has a beautiful world to explore, fun combat, and doesn't stray too far into gritty realism by keeping the some of the series trademark supernatural elements. It's a great reboot and I can't wait to see sequels.

This is easily my favorite Grand Theft Auto. GTA IV was the first game in the series that I liked enough to actually finish, but the mission still were a little on the boring side and a bit repetitive and the controls for driving and shooting weren't so hot. GTA V nailed it with an entertaining story, the ability to switch between the three great protagonist, missions that were actually fun to play(incredible heists) and the driving and shooting was actually fun.

Just got a Vita for Christmas and this was the first game I had to buy. The interaction with the game world through the use of all of the Vita's features really let this game stand out as one of the most fun times I've had with a game all year. The game really makes you feel involved as you take pictures, physically move the system around and even design pieces of the game's world itself. If only this had been a Vita launch game people might actually own one.

Everything that needs to be said about this has already been said. The only reason it isn't higher is because I just had more pure fun playing the other games on this list.

Another game that has been discussed to death. I really had a great time with it. I loved where that story goes as I always enjoy stories that deal with multiple realities, and Irrational is great at developing interesting worlds.

I was really surprised by this one. Fantastic Metroidvania game that is just pure fun every single minute you play.

So glad Kojima gave this game to Platinum to develop. They are one of the best development teams when it comes to fast paced 3D melee combat and this game and they put that talent to good use here. Bayonetta is still my favorite game of theirs, but Revengeance is still amazing.

One of those ideas you would never think could work as a video game. Easily one of the most original games I've played all year. This game even convinced my fiance to download Steam so she could buy a copy.

Basically I love Marvel and I love Diablo style loot games. 'Nuff said.
