RebelFM is now the number 1 downloaded podcast in iTunes, in front of Apples Keynote from MacWorld now....

that is just awesome... hopefully they(we) keep it up, all those guys deserve it.

That's a pretty dumb name for a podcast, but I'll check it out.

*Edit* Just checked out the description. Think I'll pass. It features all the pretentious 1Up castoffs who I can't stand.

im not so sure it will stay up there.

I listened to the opening few minutes and wasn't particularly interested. To be honest, the only person I really like from 1UP is John. Y'know, the guy with the British accent!

It definitely won't stay at the top, but it's nice to see that they were able to reach that "milestone" if only this one time.  ...and @PercyChuggs: It's called RebelFM because their old 1UP podcast was called 1UP FM and obviously they aren't going to use "1UP" anymore. I don't mind the title...

I just think the whole "FM" thing in podcasts is overused. Maybe if the FM stood for something, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Nope. Apple Keynotes is still ahead y my iTunes.

The FM stood for "Feature Mondays" on the 1up iteration, or "fuck mondays" alternatively (1upFM being released on Mondays).

I think it'll go the same way as when everyone jumped ship from Gamespot and went to do the then-called "Arrow Pointing Down" podcast. I mean if you look at the Hotspot (Gamespot's old podcast) it just flat-out sucks. The personality isn't there anymore, and Tor Thorsen can only do so much. Hopefully this one catches fire the way the Giant Bombcast did. I wish them the best, despite not being a regular visitor to 1Up.
