Earlier today I finished Starcraft 2, and I have to say that I'm really impressed by it. The story made me want to play through the original Starcraft + the Brood War expansion (which are sitting nicely in a bookshelf right behind me), which I played when I was younger and used a lot more cheats :P I read up the story a bit on Wikipedia though, so I guess I'll let it be for now. 
 
I've been playing some Borderlands and Halo: ODST as well. So far, I enjoy Borderlands (I'm lvl 20ish, just "met" Sledge) with it's Diablo-like loot system, though I haven't fallen for ODST just yet. I never really liked the Halo series as much as more mature games such as Gears of War, so I guess I'm not that surprised. I couldn't care less about what happens in the Halo universe.

You playing with friends on Borderlands or are you going solo? 'cause that game is shit boring if you're playing by yourself.

Halo ODST is mediocre, although I think I enjoyed the single player more than most people did. I would actually consider Gears of War horrendously immature, but love it anyway. I bought a copy of Mass Effect 1, but I just can't get into it. My experience this far has found it to be a broken, buggy mess.

 Yeah, I get what you mean when you say Gears if immature, maybe it's got a more mature art-style than Halo though. I like the locust more than whats-their-name in Halo. Mass Effect is great, I loved both the first and second one, what have you found to be buggy about it? "

Even if the multiplayer isn't your thing, I recommend you boot up SC2 one a month for its user map setting games (Custom games). Tower defense and Dota all came from previous editors from Blizzard so who knows what funky new thing someone will eventually create that is just oh so fun to play.
