@ultimathule: Seeing as you bought the Universe Edition previously, what do you think, worth a pop for 6 euros? I have heard the games can be pretty buggy, did you come across many problems with them?
I had only played the first one for a couple of hours and didn't remember encountering any major glitches, but now that you said that I went back to steam and I find that I cant even load my saved game. So, a word of caution if you are buying just for the first Gothic.
Oh, and the game has really awkward controls, at least for me it took a while to get used to it.
Probably spent more on this sale than I ever did on Steam before, it's easy to get carried away.

" Dude, fuck. I want to get the GTA IV bundle, but I have fears about the game's poor porting job on the PC. I know GTA IV is a lot more CPU intensive than GPU, so I'm sceptical about me being able to run it smoothly. I can't even get 30 fps on Saints Row 2 (then again, I hear that game is just as poorly ported as GTA IV). But its $10! Silly thing is that I already bought the game on my 360. =P "
Don't even try if you don't have a quad core. "
Is it that heavy on the CPU? I was thinking of buying it but I only have a crappy dual core. I will probably stick to the strategy games, Hegemony seems nice. "
I think it normally is, because CPU is the number cruncher. GTA IV has a lot of things going on at once with the moving vehicles and pedestrians and all of that is done by the CPU. "
I did run Prototype with minimum problems and that game gets pretty hectic. I'm more worried about the poor optimization the PC version of GTAIV had.
