Spring Break is over, which means no more sleeping in, and since I slept for long-ass periods of time compared to what I get to sleep during school weeks, I really fucked up by listening to my iPod for about an hour before finally falling asleep and noticing it's 11:20 on my clock (I wake up at 5:50). SO...
..this means I'm really in a sleepy mood today. God I need another week...or day at least...
Oh yeah, musically related...just to throw it out there, I recommend these albums just since I feel like recommending music, I listened to them recently:
Mastodon-Crack the Skye (It's Mastodon's newest album, which is not their best album in my opinion, but that is not enough to prevent you from getting it, it's excellent stuff. Grows on you after a while.)
Melt-Banana-Cell Scape (This album is not very accessable, it's more of an acquired taste. But the sheer awesome insanity and creativity of this album is what makes it so great. Really fun stuff to listen to.)
Nocturne-The Human Abstract (For those who are fans of bands with talented musicians in the vein of Dream Theater etc., this band is right up your alley, even if you are not into the whole metalcore thing with the screamo vocals and such. Bottom line, this album fucking owns.)
So yeah, that's about it for now. Just felt like filling the blog gap:P. I'm off to go moan about not having Resident Evil 5...
Good News: I have internet, my 3rd quarter grades are great, my new house is looking more like a house instead of one giant building full of boxes, the weather is getting hotter, I have Xbox Live again, I own Mastodon's Crack The Skye, ITS SPRING BREAK.
I had to spend my entire sunday preparing for my move to an actual house (I live in an apartment). And man, I feel so damn tired right now.
How do I end my day? Sit back and relax eating milk and cookies while listening to some Testament (for those who don't know who Testament are, they are classic 80s\90s Heavy\Thrash Metal).
So I just turned an ass day into a good day. At least that is what I'm telling myself:P.
I ask myself that sometimes. I really wonder what the crap I'm doing sometimes in school. This week felt like such a grind, and it still managed to pass by with pretty much nothing really exciting happening.
Oh yeah, besides getting my course selection sheet for 10th grade etc. Yay, 22 credits or so till I graduate high school. I'll just keep my mind on somehow not letting my Algebra grades plummet, which has been a worthless grind most of all when compared with everything else. I cannot wrap my focus around that for shit anymore, math has always been hard to pay much attention to.
What else is there to do...oh right! I have to memorize historic literature from before 1500 A.D, a speech or excerpt from anything before that time that is 250 or more words.
I picked the Divine Comedy to recite something from, which is in all seriousness an excellent piece of literature (You know, Dantes Inferno and the Paradiso and the Purgatorio). But I'm no good at reciting text word for word by memory, so I'm a bit nervous about that.
Also on my agenda, I need to make a poster for another class. Everything I just mentioned (including picking my courses for 10th grade) is due in a week or so.
ARGH, I seriously need to finish F.E.A.R 2 before all this. Screw my work, it can wait. Procrastination FTW.
So there, what my life is like right now. Exciting! The amount of boredom I have in me could fill an ocean.
In more important news, F.E.A.R 2 so far has been going great. It's definitely a disturbing and unsettling game, and the combat is satisfying. I'm not really convinced I can place it higher than F.E.A.R 1 so far though, but for the most part it has been on par with it. Anyone who has played through F.E.A.R 1 and hasn't gotten this yet really should get it now.
The movie was alright. Just saw it today, and it retains typical slasher movie elements that makes for a fairly entertaining movie, but a very predictable and sometimes downright idiotic plot kind of leave you annoyed afterwards. Fans of blood, gore, sex, and momentary humor might find this enjoyable. But overall, the remake of Friday the 13th is an avarage slasher movie, nothing you wouldn't expect, which can leave you dissapointed, or entertained.
