Not during that stream, but I did tear up a bit during the final Beastcast during Vinny's speech. Such a heartfelt moment.
Really gonna miss the guys.

I'm just gonna go ahead and mention what others have already said... that autoplay after a video is over should be a toggle.

Hey, this doesn't look half bad.
If DotEmu wants to keep releasing games based on old Sega franchises like Wonderboy or Streets of Rage, I'm all for it.

Well, maybe once they wrap up Metal Gear GBC.

The fact that they haven't done a quick look of the HD release yet makes me think they're planning something bigger.

@relkin: I was pretty sure it wasn't Dark Stone because I didn't remember the opening cutscene or the starting area in the playthrough I watched of the full version. I also don't remember it being very mechanics heavy, or having a Diablo-style inventory. I could be mis-remembering, though.

However, I downloaded the demo version of it and played it for a bit, and there are some things that seem really familiar, as well as a lute guy who seems VERY similar to the one in my memory...
Although, I can't talk to the lute guy in the version I just downloaded... maybe I was mis-remembering that part. However, the lute was also the main thing that sticks out in my memory of the game, so I assumed he'd play a bigger part.
I also remember the town being smaller... but again, maybe I'm just mis-remembering. The little area with the fences with the flags on them in the bottom right of town in the demo version is SUPER familiar, too.

I'm starting to think that maybe you're right and it's just Dark Stone... I guess I'm about 80% sure. Kind of disappointing that the lute guy didn't actually do more than just sit there and play his lute. I guess maybe I was just an over-imaginative child when I played it the first time and role-played learning how to play the lute or something, lol.

Hey everyone! So, below are some facts about the game:

- It's an isometric action RPG.
- It definitely came out in the late-90s or the early 2000s, I'd guess it came out sometime between 1996 and 2004.
- It has a VERY similar visual style as Dark Stone, but it's absolutely not that game.
- I played a demo version of it in the late-90s or early 2000s, which I quite possibly got from a PC Gamer demo disc.
- In this demo, you started out in a town, and there was a man who played a lute. I think you could also ask to play his lute, and he'd let you, but I might just be making that part up.
- There was lots of story, lots of talking to people in town. Pretty sure it had voice acting, but I could be wrong.
- Later in the demo, you ventured into some underground catacombs which felt very maze-like. I think you fought zombies or zombie-like enemies, and I remember travelling to the center of an area and opening the door to a nondescript looking room where there was a boss to fight.
- I believe gameplay consisted of direct character movement instead of issuing move commands.

So, anybody have any ideas?
