Top 12 Bioware Companions (why 12? I can't narrow it down to 10)

This list is semi-complete because I have not played Baldur's Gate 1 or 2 as well as the Neverwinter Nights series or Sonic: Dark Brotherhood. Also I have not beaten Jade Empire and do not count Knights of the Old Republic 2 because it is technically obsidian.

List items

  • KotOR was the first Bioware game I'd ever played and so Carth was my first exposure to the Bioware conversation world (Trask doesn't count seeing as he died within about 10 minutes) and I've always felt like me and him had to finish the story together. I think his companion quest is the best out of them all in KotOR so that's why Carth has jumped his way to #6 on my list. He isn't higher because he is a little outdated and the characters above have just a bit more depth. Finally, Carth and Kaidan are basically the same person but still, I love them both.

  • Look up. I view Carth and Kaidan as basically the same so they both hold spots 6 and 7. Kaidan is #7 because Carth was the original and Kaidan is version 2.0 and while I enjoy that it simply is not the same. I enjoyed Kaidan as a companion a lot in Mass Effect one and for story purposes had him die on Virmire. I think it made Shepard's story that much better.

  • Mission was my best friend in KotOR. From the start I always went out of my way to make sure I talked to her and finished her companion quest and for a good 80% of the game she was always in my party. A great character that I will always remember.

  • I love Jolee's Banter throughout KotOr and much like HK-47 i could never get enough of his humor. Plus he was the only Jedi in my group for KotOR that I actually liked so that a plus as well.
