Best of 2017
Well, well, well. I, once again, have no time for games. I work too much and when I do find time to play games I don't want to learn new systems. I just want to play. I did play a few games in 2017 and I have a few thoughts about them.

If there is one thing I really miss about the Xbox 360/PS3 era it is the XBL Arcade. It had small, arcade style games that could scratch a nostalgia itch or allow developers to take risks without a triple A budget. Cuphead would have fit perfectly into the "Summer of Arcade" and it's too sad that such few games come out like this these days. I love this game for all the right reasons. The difficulty is hard, but fair which allows for a feeling of "getting better" instead of "getting lucky" and nailing that distinction is imperative in games like this.
The multiplayer is pretty fun. I'm level 45 (as of this writing) and I've gotten my money's worth out of it.
I was (somehow) able to get a SNES-classic for retail price right around Christmas. I think this thing is pretty cool. I have so many fond memories of this system and while a few of the classics are obviously omitted, I think the list of games is very solid.
Fallout 4 is the only game I beat in 2017. I wouldn't say it is phenomenal, but the worlds that BethSoft creates are always fun to explore.
So much fun. Murder Mystery is my jam.
I played it for about 3 hours. What I played was lovely. I'll get time to finish it...one day.
I played that intro and it was awesome. I'll get to it soon enough.
Annual mention of best football game ever.
2017 game that I didn't get to play, but that I want to play.
Games released before 2017 that I didn't get to play, but that I want to play.
