I am waiting to listen to this, for way different reasons than previous years. Totally weird year for games, plus there were not really any "killer apps" of sorts on the new consoles either.

@sparky_buzzsaw: Totally agree. I mean all this stuff keeps me from going in all digital as well. I mean I'm not a huge buyer of games, but if there is no real reason why they can't do backwards compatibility, it definitely turns me off too. I get back in the day when the GameCube couldn't technically run N64 games with different media formats and the limited processing power. But at this point, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to pop a CD ROM into a PS4 and be able to play it.

Definitely going to miss what she brought to the site! Really enjoyed her fun takes on games like 13 Deadly Sins!

Pour one out for Abby!

With the rise of streaming services, I am not sure what you would call it, but you would want to link it some way to to hardware it plays on. So yeah, like maybe call these streaming services a "meta-platform" or something to denote that it is overarching service on multiple types of hardware.

Has the crew said if there are going to be any definitions of this going forward? Especially with games moving further and further away to hardware ties of the past.

Wow, yeah, just heard about CNet sale this morning on the news. Waiting with bated breath for the next things to come.

Depending on where they are going and hoping they have an easy landing. I wonder if they will keep the 2 coasts or consolidate again?

Good Luck GB crew, just another thing to add to 2020 for being a strange year. I can't even imagine going through a sale with social distancing this year.

5% or less. Not a huge gamer, so being "in" on the current discussion of new games, usually isn't something I commit time to. I am actually way more into playing older games generally. There might be one game a year that I buy at full price, but usually I buy a couple other games throughout the year when they go to like $20 or under. My gaming budget in a year is maybe 150ish at most.

Jeff's soundboard has been an excellent piece adding to the quality content he is able to put out. I am dead serious, I love the soundboard. It makes every stream just the kind of slightly garbage-esqe atmosphere I am looking for. Keep up the great work Big Jeffrey!

Thanks for linking to original sources as I was wondering where a few of those came from.

Most of them. Not really into the Dating Sim types of games, but then again, I dont know if I am up for giving them more of a chance either. But yeah, sports, fighting, Sims, racing, action, fps, indie 2D, platformers, adventure games, strategy, retro, rpg, etc. I really am looking for memorable experience or something that grabs me and sucks me into the experience.

Honestly, a lot of it is socializing. Party chat is a great way to catch up while doing something together, especially in these times.

Plus it is kind of a good way to wind down and do something mindless for an hour or something after a rough week.

Best of luck man! Yeah, definitely the 12 or so years this site has existed has carried a lot of other people's lives through its moments, connections, etc.

I have subbed as a premium member as much as I could throughout the years, probably 75% of the last decade, but have been short some years. These guys have given a ton of themselves over the years, so the $35 is something I try to come up with.

Will be interested how their content evolves out of this whole situation.
