Actually, that's probably a fair criticism. I know I talk about us a lot, and I can see why that would come off as braggy or be irritating.

The reasons are more because I think it's probably what I'm most known for, so I refer to it a lot, and because my friends only really play Madden and CoD, so she's the only person in my life that plays most games, and she's someone the forums knows. In a different situation, like if I were best friends with @video_game_king, (which for now is only in my dreams), I'd be talking about how WE played Catherine this weekend or something, or how he and I were talking about this or doing that. But since she's my girlfriend I see why it comes off differently. I'll try to do that less.

In this case though, I like the girl advice threads. I used to host a talk radio show in college. I wanted to do both, so I came up with this idea, and I figured our relationship gives us a unique perspective that is directly related to the theme of the show. So it was a marketing thing, really. I'm actually interested in getting other people from the forums on too with their own unique perspectives depending on their relationships. So this wasn't meant to advertise that I have a GB girlfriend, the opposite actually. I used that to advertise this.

Sorry if it gets irritating to you, and I'll be more cognizant of that perception in the future, but I hope you see where I'm coming from.

EDIT: This also reminds me how crazy things used to be on Giantbomb. Not that I don't love the content now but all these marriages and children and stuff are making the guys a little too mature. To be fair, they still do some crazy shit, it just seems fewer and farther between (less mailbags and energy drinks--for good reason). They just flushed a pie or something (I haven't seen it yet). Hell, Drew was shooting a bow and arrow in their office last fall that I'm surprised they weren't fired for. So it might be toned down a bit, but I don't think it's gone.

Brad has a girlfriend that I think he lives with, and Jeff is presumably single, to keep it on topic, haha. Oh, and Alex lives with his girlfriend in New York. Drew? International man of mystery.

If this means people will stop making those stupid threads then hey, I'm all for it.

@ch3burashka: Sorry, tried reuploading it but it seems like Dropbox is having problems. Not sure why you can't download it though, I don't think anyone else has had any problems. Anyway, we're prepping up to record a new one, I've got my new Turtle Beach headset, we've got some plans on cleaning things up a bit to flow more naturally, and we're gonna set up a proper RSS feed, so maybe you'll be able to give us a shot once we get that all set up with the next episode. We've even got an email question or two, so we're excited!

I like this podcast, it reminds me how lucky I am/have been. I'm sure you two feel the same being from different countries and meeting on, of all places, a video game site. Those stories were pretty amusing, though some seemed pretty typical run of the mill "I like this girl...what should I do? does she even like me?" The real winners are those posts that provide context and highlight the person's quirks and odd misconceptions. Here's an extreme case of both lots of context and severe misconceptions.

Hmm, that's a crazy long post, but maybe we'll try that out on the next podcast. Thanks!

@subjugation: I have to figure out the whole iTunes and/or RSS feed thingy. Once I do that, we'll probably do it monthly or bi-weekly (depending on how many submissions we start getting--already have one or two). Already got my new headset. If I had to guess, we'll do the podcast on the... 2nd (and 4th?) Sunday of each month. Maybe the 14th of April for the next one? Once we get the RSS feed set up and have recorded the next episode, we'll start a new "official" thread for the RSS feed, so you'll know if you're still interested and on the lookout. Thanks man!

Nice show! I think both of you found your groove midway through. Besides the things that have already been mentioned (giggles, mic etc.), the two of you pulled off a good first episode.

I think the show would benefit from a third party, even if it were just a 15-min guest appearance, just to shake things up a bit.

Also, as much as I like the human drama, I enjoyed hearing about Facebook games because they're something I normally have nothing to do with. If you're having a slow week/fortnight, perhaps you could expand the gaming segment and talk about games you're passionate about - it's enjoyable to hear your opinions, and gives the audience some points of reference when it comes to your tastes.

I'm using http://www.podomatic.com/ for the Giant Bomb Community podcast RSS feed and it seems to be working quite well. If you guys are doing a monthly podcast then the free option from podomatic is perfect. Well I should note that it only gives you an RSS feed link, so that means you are gonna have to input it manually into your favorite podcast player.

I listened to this a couple of days ago. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. You guys keep the conversation moving pretty well and the content was enjoyable. I'm definitely in for more.

Quite glad actually that I don't have to worry about relationship advice. It's one of the perks on being an asexual. The bad thing about being one is that loneliness is definitely a factor, but it's a situation that definitely can be handled.

I can say that it's interesting to see that someone decided to start a podcast and thread on this subject matter, and it's no matter that people here do in fact like it. I won't be listening to it, but I'd say that it's interesting to those who have or desire relationships.
