I don't think I have been embarrassed to buy a game.  Although my wife came in the room while I was playing Bayonetta... that may have been a little embarrassing.  If I were caught playing DOA Beach Volleyball, that could be a little rough.  Luckily I wasn't caught.

Last year I was really taken with Demon's Souls.  I couldn't stop playing.  When I wasn't playing,  I was thinking about it.  It has been a long time since a game has infected my brain like that.  Other than that I love the Bethesda games, and of course Mass Effect 2 was a spectacular experience.

I feel your pain, I have been through a few 360s.  Each time saying "This is the last, I'm not supporting poor hardware anymore."  Then heading off to the store to pick up another, for some exclusive or that I just prefer the 360 controller for 1st person gameplay.  "Vote with my wallet," I say... well next time. Hardware failure certainly isn't 360 exclusive.  My Wii shows some graphical snow and colour distortions, and my PS3 had the disc drive go.  My 360s and PS3 have comparable hours used, the 360 has certainly had more issues.  The Wii is a little different because it gets much less use.
As for the  transfer cable, I found it to work quite well, but not perfect.  I did lose some info, though nothing too important.  The large HDD is nice, and if your like me, have spent a fair bit of money on DLC and Arcade games, you don't really want to throw that away. 
Certainly not an easy decision.  If you can be a stronger person than I, vote with your dollars.  Good Luck.

I like what they are trying with the Resistance games.  The weapon systems are interesting, and I like the large sets.  The second game didn't click with me at all.  I think  Insomniac generally does pretty solid games, so I'm looking forward to it.

That is great news.  Mass Effect 2 is such a great game.  It should be experienced by owners of both HD consoles.  If the PS3 version is kind of like a GOTY edition with the DLC, I could be persuaded to play through it again. 

The art style is quite striking.  It will be interesting to see how it fares with fans, considering the second caught a lot of flak for being made under a different developer.

That is a shame.  It was one of the few games that my wife wanted to play together.

If anyone doesn't agree with a review, I recommend reading the press release.  I tend to find a glowing endorsement that fits my needs perfectly, and justifies my purchase to a tee.  Down with reviewers!  Get your opinion directly from the developers!
