@matatat: Endurance Runs are the only let's plays they do that aren't premium. I recall them going "We won't monetize existing content" when they started doing subscriptions, but the flip side of that is that they've done lots of other let's plays non-daily behind a paywall instead of doing ERs.
as a premium member who gets upset at the non premium members blocking ads and not contributing monetarily to the site - the fact they put most of the best content behind a pay wall doesn't really bother me.
Honestly we just need more Jeff and Vinny content. I know there's a lot to work out since both have such little time to do stuff and time zones mess with stuff even more, but we need something every once in a while.
Totally agree, its such rare pairing now, P5 would be a sublime reunion, make sure we ask them a lot, they love that shit.
yup! Its not like they will start punching us if we ask to much or anything...(though actually Jeff was a lot nicer in the AMA with that obvious question than I expected)
my first question was going to be soo how many times did this get asked about - heh. They had to know this was coming - I expect this may have even been the reason for the AMA...
@packerman120 When ever Jeff talks about industry stuff in his Jar sessions or such I am continually amazed at his business sense. Guy is no joke and not simply someone who is funny on camera there is some real business chops behind him which is likely why he is successful as he is. Been interesting to watch the growth of this site - I only wish animevice had survived (sigh).
was on a MASSIVE sale so picked this up for five dollars as the buzz has been good and what I saw on youtube I liked. The idea that somehow poland would have been able to beat back Germany in WWII using militia rather than a professional army is just too wonderful of a fantasy to pass up. So what should I know going in? What should I be prepared for? Tips? Mods I just have to use? Love the kind of turn based strategy on par here and I am an x-com (pretty much all versions) veteran.
So any news about a persona 5 themed playstation 4? (And boy did they miss a beat not having persona 5 come out for playstation five heh) sigh I want this game so so bad!!! Not really anything else I want to play on the playstation five though...would love to be able to get the 20th anniversary edition as well - though that only seemed to come out in Japan...sigh...
I thought GBeast were gonna be busy playing the Yakuza games and Shenmue 2 for the next two or three years. At this point, I think the only way we're getting an endurance run of P5 is if the new hire is very into it, which could be a monkey's paw way of getting that wish granted, depending on who the hire is.
It would have been nice if Jeff did more than two long-form let's plays before he decided he was done with them. Him and Vinny are the best team, and those P4/Deadly Premonition endurance runs basically pulled me into the site to begin with.
agreed - as I said in the quick look man I am surprised they actually did a quick look as they had to know the can of worms they were opening...I mean as above the p4 endurance run was what got me to sub to the site and certainly a way for me to resub till the end of time would likely be to do a p5 run..
So none of the movies they have been watching for films and 40s have been on netflix which is the streaming service I use. So lets choose some movies on netflix for them to watch! Lets leave out series as that is too long. (though hearing them react to stranger things would be interesting).
I would love to see:
Train to Busan: (Asian zombie Apocalypse on a train)
Tenacious D in the pick of Destiny
Lucha Underground
Kung Fu Panda
Gantz: 0 - live action anime movie (this would be hilarious)
Journey to the west: (I'll just let netflix speak to this: an evil monkey king and a dangerous pig demon are just the start of his problems. He is also falling in love).
Way of the Dragon (Chuck Norris in a Asian kung fu movie)
Could add more but I expect this is enough for now!
