My hidden treasure is the second Firaxis game in this thread! I love Sid Meier's SimGolf! Somehow they got to collaborate with EA's Maxis at the time to build this game. Sadly you can't really find the game anywhere anymore and it seems stuck within EA's bowels.

I'm not a golf fan by any means, but I really enjoyed the simplicity of designing golf courses and tweaking them over and over so the sims of all skills can enjoy them. I think the system is quite elegant and I always love a good isometric game with sprites.

You can even watch @Ryan play and interview Sid Meier.

It's summer, so the staff will rotate taking some time off.

Started playing this. I quite enjoy the idle-ness of it so I can watch something while playing. There are also hidden mechanics that the game doesn't reveal in tooltips, that we have to discover and maybe unlock something new.

I read Neuromancer several years ago. I enjoyed it a lot and it‘s funny how often @Jeff will quote expressions from it, like _to punch the deck_. It’s fascinating how some things we kinda take for granted today, the author had to make up and describe it and make it _visual_, like _breaking ice_. I don’t know, I guess it makes programming or hacking sound more exciting and stimulating than it is to others.

I found it was difficult to read at first, due to the sentences being written in a style I guess from a generation ago. I often had to re-read some sentences, which also happened when I read Tolkien.

After watching Vinny play Fuser, I think this is a dark horse candidate that came out of nowhere. It’s doing something fresh feel so seamless. And like they said in the Quick Look, I do wish the co-op mode lasted longer after the long loading time.
