What surprised me most while researching the game (i.e. checking its Wikipedia page) is that a remastered version is on its way. Next month, in fact
Jackpot! Loved that game as a kid, finished it twice when it came out. UPD: just checked the remaster's page, saw who the storywriter is - now it all makes sense, I loved Gordon Rennie's WH 40K books.
Bioshock 2 until recently. I literally had to power through it and push myself to go through each level. The story was eh, and some of the game play got frustrating. I finally beat it recently and will probably never touch it again. Now Fallout 4 is sitting there and I just can't get into it. I don't know if it's me or the game in general, but it just seems boring and not as fun as New Vegas.
The exact same story with the Bioshock 1.
Also,Sam & Max Save the World. I absolutely love Telltale Games and the game has a good sense of humour; however, the gameplay is so very boring that I've never got any further than the third episode despite a few attempts.
There's no such thing. It's a term invented by that dude / dudes making the vids and in all honesty I do not think that this is applicable to the video games the same way as it is to the movies - we already have indie games and trash games (pretty much every early City Interactive FPS as an exemplary). Also, in those vids, both Total Overdose and Star Wars - The Force Unleashed are featured, which are two projects of diametrically opposite development approaches (?) (the former is indie; the latter is AAA, though quite bad).
