Prototype is an open-world action game from Radical Entertainment. You are Alex Mercer, a human transformed by a deadly virus into a virtually invincible killing machine.
There was a lot of talk of Infmous and Prototype in a fight for best game and my answer would be Infamous, but Im gonna talk about Prototype's ups and downs. The gameplay is great to work with if you like fast paste third person view and if you don't well your better of with Grand Theft auto. The fact that you are nearly invincible makes pretty enjoyable but there needs to be more variety in the missions and some of the combat instead of punch, punch, kick. The visuals okay on some standards but even the 2007 Call of Duty 4, it's visuals are even better and more advanced. The story starts out an infection that progresses through infecting people in Manhattan and the gocernment is not going to stand for that so they try to prevent it and fail miserably and how ironic it is that you are the only one with supermutant powers.
Prototype arrived ridding a wave of hype, but does it deliver its promises or does instead drown in them? [Prototype] is the type of game that I love to borrow. There are moments when you are scaling sky-scrapers, destroying tanks, hijacking helicopters, and you feel like an elite, über antihero. And there are moments when you have to do lame repetitive missions and totally suspend your disbelief to swallow the video game-iness of the experience.
