After weeks upon weeks of playing whatever games are here at work for some hearty achievement points (which led to me actually enjoying Soul Calibur IV for some reason), I've finally been able to get my grubby hands on two games that I've been waiting all damn year for: Red Faction Guerrilla and Prototype. Now, if there's one thing that makes jakob187 happier than anything when it comes to video games, it's having lots of freedom and the ability to blow tons of shit up. Between Red Faction Guerrilla, Prototype, and Battlefield Bad Company...I think my trifecta of destruction is now completed. = D

WTB One More Game for Trifecta of Destruction

I recently finished Red Faction Guerilla, hell of a game. The mutliplayer was surprisingly deep, I'm still enjoying it. I'm glad I took advantage of that $40 on Amazon deal.
Good blog, dude. I am going to be playing Red Faction momentarily but I really love it so far. The destruction is beautiful and the multiplayer is a surprise. I have not been able to play Prototype yet but it sounds like a lot of fun. It doesn't look perfect but who needs perfection when you have a game that is just fun?
As for the whole Death thing, I am saddened by all these recent passings. Ed McMahon was a legend and, especially with Conan's start, his death definitely has relevance today. Farrah Fawcett was a beautiful woman and very talented actress and, though her death is not unexpected, it does not make it any less sad. It is a shame that she didn't get all the media attention she deserved but there is no doubting how Michael Jackson's death is a huge event, and a very sad one at that. I have always loved all of his music and I am willing to look past his idiosyncratic nature in favor of the pure talent and skill he displayed over the years. He will be missed.
I am going to play Thriller again, for the second time today. That album is still a winner to this day and a reminder of a man's brilliance.
" Sweaty ass on a couch. I hope it's not leather or pleather, because that could turn into a sticky situation. "Pun intended?! And don't worry...it's a twill couch.
" I've heard a lot of negative things about Prototype from my friends and that is what is keeping me from purchasing the game. I don't think I can handle another open world type of game at the moment... "There's negative things about the game? I must be missing them. I mean, come on...Barry Pepper is the voice of Alex Mercer! BARRY FUCKING PEPPER!!! That's INSTANT WIN!
Currently I'm just not seeing any justification for the purchase. In between Red Faction, InFamous, going through Lost and the Damned for GTAIV, and Fallout 3, I'm pretty swamped. If anything, I fear Prototype looks a bit generic...
But convince me otherwise. And no, Barry Pepper has most certainly not sold the game for me..
"And no, Barry Pepper has most certainly not sold the game for me.. "= O FOR SHAME!!!
