Edit* Don't really like these sort of games but I think I am going to go back to school to become a professional consumer.

Got some ladies in the room!

Edit: Holy shit, that first remix is so god damn bad.
I got a question. Why did they keep the Guitar Hero-styled graphics? Makes the whole game look really lazily made, on top of not matching the content of the game.

Guessing that being a real DJ is just a step or two away from this compared to the other plastic instrument games. Glad their improving the sequel as I'm sure that some people liked the first one.

I skipped playing DJ Hero 1 due to I knew that there would be some things that needed fixing.  So second time around we'll see if it's more polished.

Hm, the mixes are alright, though I find they do use their better ones for their initial trailers.

Really excited about the new freestyle sections. That guy asked a really great question. Really interested in seeing if there is a freestyle scratch/cross fading section, that would be awesome.

Dude being a professional consumer must be the ultimate dream. Being paid to consume things, are you kidding me!

Still don't have much interest in DJ hero though.

@drozzy: Try progressive instead of streaming on the little bar on top. It's much faster than Youtube.

@drozzy: I actually like this site's streaming speed better than youtube's. Plus, GiantBomb's video player is much more slick and appears to have a larger payload percentage than youtube. Switch modes (streaming-progressive) to see if it helps.

I'm with you man.  The damn thing seems to have to buffer every 10 seconds, while videos on virtually any other website work fine for me.  Seems to occaisonally get better at "off peak" hours like, say, 4am, but is otherwise almost unusable.

And it seems to have coincided with the move to their current video player, when I assume they changed the way their videos are streamed.

As for the game, the changes look promising.  I like that they actually let you cut up the mix in different spots now - the first game felt a little too mechanical and out of your control as the player.

Also glad they are introducing song-specific samples, instead of the lame Flava Flav samples and random sounds of the first game.

I do wish the game would start to focus more on electronic music, and less on crummy contemporary pop/R&B/rap music.  My favourite tracks from the first game, were songs that featured two electronic songs mixed together, and songs using old hip-hop and rock songs.

And how about some more DLC this time around?  The handful of songs released for the current game have been mostly weak, and far too few in number.

I always just click "progressive" and let it pre-load some before I start the vid, so I never see it stopping to buffer.

I download the videos, Giantbomb's video player always slows down and starts dropping frames on me. Before I had my computer cleaned, my laptop even shut down a couple of times because of it. I have no idea why, I can watch HD stuff on YouTube just fine.

@Bennyishere:    I guess it could be possible for some bug/incompatibility with whatever browser/os/etc. you are running to have caused the problems, but I don't really know.  Personally,  I just use Firefox and I have no problems whether I pre-load it(which I usually do), or the rare occasion when I leave it set to "streaming."  I do also have the NoScript add-on, but I have it set to always allow Giantbomb, and everything runs fine.   Sorry I can't really offer any real advice.

@metalhead87:
Thanks for the response. I am using Firefox with NoScript (and Giantbomb allowed) as well. It's a non-issue though, I prefer downloading the .flv files anyway so that I can crank the volume up to 400% in VLC, this was very helpful with the Endurance Run. I am thinking it is a mixture of my laptop being dirty and perhaps the player being a bit more demanding than other sites, but overheating is no longer an issue since I had the fans cleaned, etc. It was just weird that, while I could watch a video in HD in Windows Media Player, I would experience performance slowdowns watching GiantBomb videos on low quality setting :O

Wow when he pulled out the cards I couldn't believe it. They couldn't hook a laptop up to the screen with those images on it? That seems so ghetto here in 2010.

That second song sounds fucking awful every time I hear it... didn't the dude on the left actually mix it?

Oh and obligatory comment on that lady's satisfactory appearance.

edit: Regulate! I'd rather it be the regular song with keyboard controllers and turntables and stuff like it was Rap Band. Perhaps in the next incarnation of Def Jam Rapstar.

A professional consumer. Wow.
Also this game looks fun but I still want to be able to mix freely or even a DJ Hero Network like Rock Band has would be great.
