E3 2010 Undercover: Jaffe!

So I was a little skeptical about this game considering it's been about 10 years since I have played a car combat game. After watching the video and hearing the words local and split-screen in the same sentence, I went all nostalgic retarded and pretty much was sold.  
 
I like the look the game, and watching debris fly away from your car when you crashed through the median brought up the action a bit. It definitely seems like Jaffe is focusing more on the cars this time around and it definitely has a lighter feel to it.  
 
Looking forward to playing some crazy ass Twisted Metal with three other friends on the couch.

 I played the hell outa Vigilante 8    second offence back in the day..good stuff..And this is a pirtty cool insight into what Jeff n Ryans jobs at E3 are like.

Looks like a lot of fun.  but man that person with the sniffles was annoying!

I for one am cautiously optimist. ...that's all I can say. Oh, and that it's now warhawk without the on foot and jet combat.... still optimistic.

That looked pretty good, have to say Jaffe went through that like a Pro.

Game looks awesome, sniffling guy really ruined this vid though.

I'm a bit disappointed it won't be in the same vein as Black, but it looks interesting.

It looks really cool. It's basically a Battlefield-style shooter with big-maps, except you can't get out of the vehicles.

what do you guys do when you're demoing a game and a minute later you just dont want to play it anymore? feign interest or just drop the controller and walk away?

I'll take the car combat genre over all of these tired ass first/third person shooters any day.
 
They may be loose and rote but at least I'm not playing as another fucking marine shooting shit in the face ad nauseam.

Ryan is awesome for filming and sharing this.

Cool. Titan mode from BF2142 is kinda making a comeback in this game. Except you don't have the ability board the floating statues and blow them up from the inside.

These are exactly the kind of E3 videos I like to see.

 I'm happy with how they are treating this game, keeping loyal to its roots while updating parts to match modern genres.

I like the part at 1:13 where Kyle Orland calls him a liar and spits in his face.

I'll tell you one thing, this guy plays good under pressure. This looks surprisingly deep for a car combat game.

Jaffe's Move branded water bottle is really weirding me out.

The number of people who seem to have no idea what twisted metal is makes me feel old. Go back, play 1 and 2, skip 3 and 4, then Black and Head-On and you'll be caught up.

Aiming for a T-rating doesn't sound good to me though. Gives me the impression that Sony could be trying to just cash in.

I could really care less about a new Twisted Metal.

How long were they working on this? Not long I hope... Don't forget Jaffe believes that game stores should not be allowed to sell a new release as "pre-owned" for a set time period, like a month, plus it seems like he hates his customers......

If this were a $15 multiplayer only game, then I'd totally get it, however, this as a full retail product doesn't attract me too much.  I know they've only shown this mode off, but I can't justify my self paying all that money for one mode that I care about.  Standard death match and such aren't that attractive to me in this particular package and the controls don't look all that tight.  

As cool as this game looks, I'm not sure it justifies the $60 tag yet. It looks like it could be a blast  though.

This was honestly the best video ive seen come out of e3 so far, all the info from the video really has me excited for the game now. Its great to see a car combat game come out, its nice to see in a market filled with FPS games.
