I really don't get the MMO thing, I'd love to play Skyrim co-op but I have no desire to grind out quest after quest with far less story...

Love all the people saying no one wants this game...this does not effect Elder Scrolls VI, you'll get your "true" TES game in a few years, stop actively shitting on an MMO because you don't care for the genre.

Why? The game does nothing new. I played every TES game that was released on PC except Battlespire since first getting my mitts on Morrowind 10 years ago. I love the lore, I love the world of Tamriel, why would I not be disappointed that there is going to be just another MMORPG wearing the skin of The Elder Scrolls? It's frustrating. And that doesn't even get into the fact that I've been waiting years for someone to actually revolutionise the MMORPG genre so it's actually fun to play, & this game won't, from what has been shown so far, do anything particularly exciting unfortunately. And the fact that the main quest is single player & yet using a MMORPG interface for that rather than the well proven system from previous TES games.

I'd also love to be able to play with my friends in Skyrim or a Skyrim-size world & just goof around. I'd absolutely love it if this game would be that. It's not. That's disappointing.

Sounds a lot better than when I first read about it, but I'm not gonna spend $15 a month.

I liked her, she could do the talky thingy real well.

Not big on mmos but if ESO's pricing structure is similar to Guild Wars I think I could give it a shot.

Hey gaiz...let's make another run of the mill MMO and try to trick people into paying a subscription for it. 
 
Maybe one of these days developers will realize that forcing a popular IP into a generic MMO form is not good business.

I can believe when they started the dev on this game 5 years ago looking at WoW's numbers going well shit we should be doing that. I guess the only real question now is how long before they go free to play after release. I'd say 3 months tops.

Maria Aliprando is p. hot. She should totally pose for a bunch of magazines and websites and then flip out when creepy guys start creeping on her.

This game looks really bad. Not going to dismiss it because obviously, I haven´t played it but still, not looking forward to this.

She does a great job making this sound interesting, but man...it just looks like an MMO ass MMO.

Yup, a lot of these recent MMOs have things that are neat but it only really feels interesting up until the point where they ask you for $60 and then $15 over and over again after that. I'd love to see these games made for free 2 play, or some sort of cheaper model (maybe like the one time fee for Guild Wars) cause I really REALLY can't justify a subscription to a video game anymore, not even because of financial issues or whatever since I could very well afford it. It just feels dirty for me right now.

As a big Elder Scrolls fan, I really hope this is good. Seems like it could have some potential. But I'm not going to trash (or praise) it before I see it. All I can do is hope for the best.

I think Developers already realize that. But when you're 5 years into development, you can't really just hit the brakes. You gotta ride that bitch right into the side of the mountain.

Bethesda have a tendency to hold franchises back until you're hungry for them, then they come out and there's this over saturation period where they completely make you sick of the IP.

Aight, this whole "your personal story within an MMO" thing is cool and all but this is no longer unique, SWTOR did it, Guild Wars 2 is going to do it and now this is going to do it, that cannot be one of your main selling points. This game would have been ground breaking a year and a half ago, in 2013 it will like an antique.

Now people can jump around in Master Chief armor and afk next to mudcrabs to get their armor rating up, together.

If I was a mudcrab...what would I do?

This game has potential, they're simply trying to give people what they have been asking for. I'm not so sure they can deliver the perfect blend of the Elder Scrolls and the MMO genre, but I'm willing to let them try. It's not like the franchise will ultimately suffer if this game fails to deliver.

The most interesting thing here is that every character can use every weapon and get better at it.

It's weird. When I heard about the game it sounds interesting. But whenever I *see* the game I lose interest. The art style is like LOTRO mixed with some WoW, which doesn't jibe well coming off of Skyrim.
