Yes, lighting your friend and have her attack the enemy does a lot of damage! It all makes sense.

First time I was screaming at the screen "USE VOLT BITE ALREADY"

Nothing Stops Ryan from doing little shit wrong that's kind of annoying.

I know they are playing the game "wrong", but as long as they keep their HP up, and at last exploit the weakness, no real reason why they should lose any of these boss battles.

I know people are losing their minds at this, but at the end o the day, if the boss is beaten, are they really doing it "wrong"?

Edit: also, them using Light2 instead of 1 is dumb, but they have so many Ethers to burn and a TON of money so it's not like they are hurting for MP.

It really does amaze me just how much shit Patrick gets when Ryan is the one who is not only controlling things but constantly screwing things up and forgetting stuff even as Patrick tries to nudge him in the right direction.

Had a dream that I was watching today's ER, Patrick and Ryan arguing if they rather go a pizza place called, "Brono's" or a Diner called "Bobo's" after the video.

I'd really love an answer for this one: Why did you ignore Volt Bite completely throughout that whole episode? I don't even mean discussing it and figuring it might not be as effective. No, you simply didn't even mention it all, going as far as to say "we tried everything" at some point. Absolutely baffling.

Please note, this isn't an angry rant, this is confusion. You obviously didn't need it at any point.

it's because Patrick is the newest member of the giantbomb crew and not an OG member...so people seem to get pissy and whiny when he does something wrong more so than others

Watching them play this is sometimes so frustrating!

Still love that they are doing it, I just wish they were better at the game!

I remember the crazy thing about the Black Tyrano battle, you could actually put Azala to sleep with Lucca/Bucca's Hypnowave. It's crazy how such a useless spell move actually worked in a boss battle this serious.

This makes me really glad that I didn't play Persona 4 until after the endurance run. I would have had a brain aneurism.

This is different though, it's fun watching them stumble through the game completely clueless.

It's crazy, like their knowledge of the game seems to reset every episode, although Ryan does pull out some sweet moves from time to time.

After Azala, I was kinda curious what other bosses could be put to sleep... but I was never brave enough to try. Putting the Golem Twins to sleep sounds like it would be really useful though.

See, this guy gets it. Expecting a perfect playthrough on an Endurance Run means you don't actually remember shit about the previous ones (soo much impotent comment-rage about improper Persona fusing- it was delicious).

I like that Ryan is not actively changing his play style for the camera... But I would love to see a little more diversity in the party selection.

the "cast Bufu" meme hasn't got shit on this endurance run!

The only issue I really have with this ER is their inability to read. If they actually read even a fraction of the text that appeared on screen, all their problems would be solved. It is NOT a complicated game. When the game says 'defense down, storing attack power' it means well...the defense is down, and the boss is storing his attack power.

Oh, the tricks that used to be used to make things look more impressive. That Black Tyrano looked big, but most of it wasn't moving at all!

Also, another great episode. Especially when Ryan's "bumbling" resulted in them finding the "right" attack to use.

I wonder what they'll do when the first Golem fight destroys them?

Yes, the only difference in the attack 2's (lightning 2, fire 2, water 2, ice 2) is that they attack multiple enemies.

When they get Crono's Luminaire, though, they are going to love it because that is an attack to all but much more powerful than lightning 2.

I love how when they used dual techs, people in the comments like you kept complaining about how they were useless. Now that they realized that single techs are better people yell at them to use duals. You people will never learn. If they are making progress you can't complain.

Second time during this ER that I yelled at my screen. I'm just glad they finally become aware of Volt Bite at the end even if it was by accident.

There are a lot of techs in this game. Like a ton. They tried Volt Bite last episode, which was clearly recorded in the same session as this. So they probably just glazed over it confusing it as one that they used on the boss as opposed to one they used in an enemy encounter earlier.

I find this an insane question, no offense to you. Its either the logical answer I gave you, or the implication that they just ignored it on purpose. Why is that so baffling to you?

This is exactly what I was thinking. This along with the fact that they DON'T READ ("Def up when attacked... what does that mean?") REALLY makes me think they are just screwing around. It's extremely frustrating when they don't read. I'm still enjoying it though.

I really hope you're not confusing me for someone complaining. The lack of skill on display is pretty much exactly why I come to an Endurance Run, and is fantastic. I wouldn't even want to watch if they were just breezing through this and doing things the way they were meant to be done, because the game is easy enough as is, and it'd be boring to sit through!

The time they replaced Brave Blade might have actually killed a few users on the spot.

Annoyance of the day: they kept using Lightning 2 when they should have been using plain Lightning against single targets.

Can't wait until we get to see a triple tech on a boss. Everyone is going to lose their shit.
