Endurance Run: Deadly Premonition: Part BR-30

Team BR took about 1/10th of the time to solve the blocksolving puzzle as team VJ.

The two 'Twin Peaks'-y recent games have an interesting, differing take on enemy design: Deadly Premonition goes for the moaning zombie type, while Alan Wake gives them personalities. I'm not sure which I like more.
 
Then again, Alan Wake doesn't have giant-ass dogs. So Deadly Premonition wins.

Discovering the dogs! Easily my favorite moment from this ER so far.

Holy cow, that first giant dog fucked them up! I can't believe how it flung the car on a whim.

The other giant demon dog falling in front of them sealed that moment as the greatest so far in both Endurance Runs.

that was funny, also right when they teleport to the milkbarn the dog is looking straight at york, creepy.
 
 heh I wish they had seen it before getting into the car, it would be fun to rear the desperation in  their voices to get into a car.

Also, I would like to point out that Micheal wears a pristine white suit, busts mad rhymes, and kinda looks like a lady. Just saying, that guy is probably an awesome dancer.

That was an awesome moment. Ryan's evil laugh and Brad's dead panic was totally worth . . . everything!

Ok for those that have played the game does the big ass dog and its origins get explained? 

Glad to see BR appreciates the spread and knockdown of the shotgun. Helps get by infinite enemies faster. VJ seems to rely too much on mowing down enemies with their SMG and waiting for an opening.

Dang, they are actually behind VJ now.

Oh man. When that second dog jumped out at them, I cracked up.

There's a card with a bit of info.. I'd load it up to get an exact phrase, but it wouldn't help.. It just says it's a wild dog which has gone mad and is very territorial. Playing through on normal, I only saw it past midnight, not during the story or side missions. Very weird.

It is fun to play around with them in York's Car, though.

That dog was easily the best part yet in the ER.

Awesome!: Run over those effin' zombie effs! Ah!!!! Ah!!!!!!!! Holy eff demon hell hound!! Get in the car and evade that dark Cerberus. ...Tossing the car like that, ess eff, holy ess eff man! Oh man, that' so effed up. Wow, dead dog jump scare: It worked for Re 1 and still works now. 
 
No, there is an equal number of zombies in the graveyard regardless; you just need to run past them when they're on the ground. I have to wonder why VJ didn't face exterior night zombies and horrific Satan pups? Another conspiracy?

I wonder what happens if you try to kill that dog on foot. 

Y know, despite my sometimes screaming at the screen , Brad and Ryan actually got a good working attitude towards this game. they are grasping things like nightime is party-times, and so forth.  Both guys are getting something out of this  game.  Hey Brad even! He was happy when the game didn't glitch, even though he didn't like fighting in the dark. 
 
VR are still tripping on P4 methinks. I like them and Vinny can absolutely slay me, but I'm enjoying, well..yeah, enjoying BR more. Despite the ocassional vocal fustration..heh

 Please focus on making more video reviews, quick looks and other features as I enjoy them more then Endurance Runs. It has become painful to watch someone else play a bad game like Deadly Premonition. Perhaps make a new weekly feature show or improve Thursday Night Throwdown so that it is like a game show with advertiser sponsor prizes whenever possible. The prize doesn't even have to be money, a free copy of the advertised game would be fine. For example lets say Bungie advertises with Giant Bomb, you could do a Halo 3/Halo Reach Multiplayer Tournament to be held a week before Halo Reach comes out with a first place prize of winning a free Copy of Halo Reach.

I find BRyan much less frustrating to watch than VJ.  Brad doesn't mind getting up close and personal.

Excellent ep! The only thing left that you might like is Keith's guitar (since Brad loves the melee weapons) for the wall crawlers. Other than that, you guys are about ready to fly through this thing.

 @dudewhat - That's not gonna happen.  The Endurance Runs (heh, heh runs) bring in too much revenue to the site.  It's what the majority of viewers want.  That's why they started this second game for.  Plus it's a slow season for game releases, so this passes the time until Christmas.

Thinking about it, I seem to remember that the common word for foot and leg in Japanese is the same--ashi (足).
 
That might be why the bone is described as a foot bone when it looks like a leg bone.
