Interesting note, there was no Japanese voice work for this game. It was just subtitled in Japanese.

I know. I honestly feel they're doing a bit of a disservice to this game by making it seem like they have no choice(even though they have many,many options to make the combat easier and faster). I also don't think the way Vinny plays is much better, the way he carefully peeks through every corner as if a giant dog will burst through every wall and eat York. Also, Brad has the advantage of not being OCD about killing every single enemy he sees. "

I  imagine if you're a games developer and brad shows up to preview/review you game you'de be pretty gutted.

Just a thought, is it possible after being incessantly ripped a new one in the comments day after day that Brad's motivation level for riffing with Ryan in a way that entertains everyone might be pretty well zero?  Would yours?  I know I would be feeling that way. Playing day after day, trying to be funny at the same time and having everyone I'm attempting to entertain treat me like crap would probably result in me getting pissed off and intentionally blowing things off, making obvious 'mistakes' and just generally doing what I could to enrage the ungrateful sods watching.    But that's just me, I'm sure Brad is above inflicting such things on said posters....? "

Man, I'm starting to feel bad for Brad and Ryan. They finally got a chance to start really enjoying the game last episode, but then Deadly Premonition had to go and snatch all traces of joy away from them. This really is an effective horror game, in a sense. Keep fightin, BR.

Not really pretend to be bad, rather suggesting a person who gets pounded on constantly might have a real drop in motivation to try their best.  When people are just going to rip you anyway, and your job really isn't contingent on how well you play in an Endurance Run, contrary to what lots of folks seem to believe, a reasonable person might just say, "The hell with them" and just do what everyone is accusing you of doing anyway.
 
Why bother busting your butt?  Give the haters something to really hate on, and get a little satisfaction for yourself by stick a thumb in their collective eyes.
 
After the continuous drumbeat of insults all over the site, I would if I were in Brad's position.  And I suspect you would too, mutha3.
 
I genuinely don't understand why the only thing some people can come out with when they are at a keyboard is destructive.  It is so bad that if you wish to praise someone you literally have to qualify it to make it clear it isn't meant sarcastically.  That is twisted.
 
And so much of it is not genuine, not sincere, just what too many believe to be the necessary tone to post.
 
Gaming sites are the worst of all.  Why?  It's not necessary and it has nothing to do with what is supposed to be a recreationaland fun activity.  So where does all the viciousness come from?  If this is what some people are becoming as a result of gaming they need to find another activity instead and fast.  Boxing, hunting, shooting, anything that bleeds off all the vitriol that seems to get spilled all over this site and others are good options.  Engage in some genuine "tough guy" activities rather than just being keyboard ninjas.  Right now it's aimed at Brad.  But we all know it will soon be someone or something else soon.  But it is always there and it's always needlessly destructive.  It's such a waste. "

Your zombie apocalypse survival skills are a bit weak Brad :)
 Although I do wonder what sound you guys here when you are playing (as we players probably hear a direct feed). Because sometimes you can clearly hear where a zombie is (or is near). Ow and you do use a map in the outside but not on the inside levels? As I said, when it comes to survival skills (smart tactics I sometimes call them) you could use some help. That said however I do have more faith in you guys writing good reviews as you guys really play a game as if it was your first game :)

I just realized that at no point in this game do you ever meet the Mayor or whatever of Greenvale, just a handful of cops and a random assortment of townspeople, plus the local rich eccentric. Strikes me as odd.

I guess this is the last BR episode I'll watch. I can't get through that many in a row without VJ intervals. The best part of this episode was Vinny's cameo.

These comments are like a train wreak, I know the obsessive need to tear into Brad over and over aharon will pass me off, yet I read most of them.

Does Brad shoot himself in the foot with this game? Yes, which is exactly why I watch b and r before j and v. All of them are a bout slow on the uptake with this game, and have me talking at the screen. But I enjoy them and am sad I'm almost at the end with both.

.........the english va makes me tempted to import the ps3 version. I'm slow enough at translating to not make me want to do it for all the voice, but between subtitles which are easy enough to deal with, and the voice sometimes being loud enough to hear....

OH MY GOD i was screaming at the screen saying their toolbox wasn't completely full it was just the space for the shovel that was full and that you can put melee weapons away and still pull out ranged weapons and that the magnum does more damage than the sheriff custom (which also has a higher damage rating than the FBI pistol) and that different enemies have different amounts of health i was also screaming to look at the bottom right corner of the screen while at the put items away screen to see how many weapon slots they have.
