Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 120

hey guys i hope you remember that chie is garbage next time so you dont swap her out for the only good person you have. Naoto uses many 15 sp but she still has that gun that does LOADS of damage. and chie is a very low level spellcaster now.

EDIT: Luxury Hand is Null to everything that's not Almighty! You have to kill him with Megidola-ish spells, or hope to dodge his attack so he knocks himself down :/And to kind of put this into perspective I was 67 when I finished the dungeon, and about 61 when I started it."

Hmm, I'm going to say Chie is pretty bad compared to Naoto. Chie was only hitting 30-50's regularly.

Good episode. They should still bring back Naoto though, Chie wasn't doing too great...

I have two words for you, followed by two other words:

"Power Charge"...

and then...

"God's Hand".

Although, yes, I will admit that Naoto is better for random encounters.

When you guys got rid of Deathbound in favor for evade physical, I wanted to kill myself because, like Jeff said, you are strong against physical so why use it.

Weapons and armor don't improve much.  A weapon with a 100+ atk stat will only improve the actual damage by 15% or so.  They should still sell their materials the next time they go see the weapon store owner to get some Yen. "

Yes, another hour+ long episode!  This week has been awesome!  :)

Been watching most of the episodes and never played the game, and I probaly wouldn't play it turnbased rpg's just ain't my thing. But it's fun watching the guys playing it, and the game itself has a pretty good story.

Edit: Chie's Ice is weak is because she is not the ice caster, Teddie is. Kanji and Chie are physical. Also Chie's normal attack is stronger than Skull Cracker, which is trash.

I love chie as much as the next dude, but she just isnt doing it as much as she used  to. While Naoto is doing pretty good. I mean her pistol is doing as much  damage than chie's heat wave. So they need to make a choice , do u stick with chie while she is weak till u get god hand or switch her with Naoto who was doing all right with the light and dark spells but would not be good against a boss

The reason the dice showed "Reflect" when you went to physically attack it (and analysing it did not show "Rpl") was because the bear cast Tetrakarn on the dice.  Its a one-time physical reflect that if you hit will break off.

Like other people are saying Naoto isn't actually a very good character, sure Light, dark and almighty is cool but i don't think any bosses die to instant death spells and you'll learn that her almighty spells become very expensive. They designers had a good idea with her, but maybe if she got better physical skills, or if her stats weren't so average then she would be better.  I really recomend that you guys replace her with either Chie or Kanji, as Chie's power hand combo works well, and Kanji's power and defense is crazy, not to mention that he gets Matarukaja, which is a blessing for bosses.

The song in the dungeon is getting to me....sounds good.

Which is why you get the Half SP Ring from the Heaven Optional Boss.

Oh man, you guys need a lovers to get Rise to Level 10. I hope you guys don't forget that after you are done this dungeon.

Also, how could you get rid of Black Frost like that, like he's last weeks newspaper. *sniff* I hate you! I will fly down to Cali and fight you, for doing such evil acts. :p

Kidding aside, another great episode, can't wait to see who and what the boss is. Keep it up GB :D

Naoto's physical skills are decent AoE's, but she has no good single target. Her Blight has does slightly more damage then Chie's Agneyastra, but Agneyastra can hit 1-3 times so it almost always is much better. And God Hand is about 6-7x more powerful then agneyastra for single target damage. Naoto has nothing to answer with. So once again, good against 6 enemies at a time in random battles, not doing much against single bosses.

I would probably be rocking the all girl (or rather main dude plus Yukiko, Chie, and Naoto)  party myself and just fuse some personas that have Wind and Elec powers.  Also I would probably stock up on more healing items and be buying the absolute best weapons as far as dealing damage go (except anything that has a ridiculously low hit rate).  I would also be using a LOT more physical attacks to really try to conserve SP.

Yukiko to rock the fire and healing spells

Chie for Ice and kicking dudes rather hard (moreso when she busts out that Galatic Punt)

Naoto her ability to pop a cap in some ass (espeically when she busts out with her follow up attack).  Also those light/dark spells are proving to be fairly useful and the almighty damage seems like a decent neutral form of damage to be able to deal to all enemies.  I am curious to see what this Deathbound thing does >>_>

Lastly I would stock up on WAY more healing/SP gaining items (could be fairly useful in boss fights since bosses don't seem to be the type to be vanished by Naoto's light/dark spells like that so she could bust out with the occasional healing/gain SP/recover status effect)

Of course that would more than likely lead to me getting killed a lot and probably giving up sooner rather than later :p

Granted Ive not play ANY Persona games and my only knowledge of this game comes from watching the Endurance run.  and my proposed strategy comes from what Ive found moderate amount of success in other RPGs

PS: Way to end this week on a strong, endurancing 60+ min episodes (which generally tend to be my favorite types of episodes as I REALLY have lots of free time on my hands :p )

I had that exact same problem with Tam Lin. Evade Physical was cool, but so was every other skill my Tam Lin had.

i had an easy time completing the game with chie.  its more of a preference in taste.  they felt more comfortable with chie so let it be =P.

Oh man if Fox and Tom Nook teamed up they would own the world. Anyway at this point in the game I found that Chie's skills were all garbage but if you stick with her she will become a physical powerhouse.

it blows my mind that they are using physical abilities on that garuda persona that they made , while naoto has heavy physical attacks , and yet they stick with chie just because she has mabufu, and if you notice when chie kicks it does the same amount of damage that naotos gun does, plus naoto crits more than chie , and then naoto does learn mamudoon and mahamon, and light and dark boosts , and if you look at their past boss fights they use chie mostly for either tarukaja  and physical attacks 

I forgot evade phys with Tam Lin.  He had counter and was strong against phys.  Doesn't really matter though I think I quit using him like an hour later.

Come on guys, swap in Team B so everyone can have a chance to rescue Nanako; plus it'll be more of a challenge to play with crappier team-mates. Of course then swap back the regulars for the main boss fight.

I could be wrong, but I think you guys were mixing up Light and Dark when you were looking at analyses.

The fox was charging more for the SP because it was angry.  You guys have like two weeks, you could have recharged your SP at home and saved a lot of money.

The more I think about it, I'm happy the guys aren't trying to pro game the hell out of the endurance run.  By not trying to max out everything, or have the right combos, or hell even forgetting the best things to do in situations, it keeps it light with alot of fun /facepalm moments where we are all shocked/surprised/jubilant that they made it passed certain spots.

At least three more days, crawling. i get up alot and get stuff done during the dungeon fights, but I am slowly learning the tactics behind the fighting and fusing. it`s turning into a part of the game i actually like.

i think iv`e figuered out the immediatte story here, also. This game is respectable at spinning your wheels.

Great fight everybody, only one of us died. Nice one fellas, though Vinny's hands are reverting to missing dudes.

They have like a billion SP restore items, I don't understand why they don't use those instead of paying the Fox.

Did I just hear a Black Sheep reference in this Endurance Run?  This is the best fucking website, ever.

Chie's ice is really only useful for hitting an enemies weakness.  Otherwise, Chie is more for the physical (at least in my party, she is.)

you need to keep naoto in she is awesome. Also for luxury hand it blocks everything so use megidola
