Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 44

Well that was just pathetic.

This was like the first episode where I am beginning to understand the lyrics to the battle music... I need to quit watching these, man.

The multiple Dias at the end was a waste of SP. A single Media does the exact same thing, but costs much less.

And do use those sodas. After doing so, check with the fox again. You'll notice that it will cost significantly less.

on my way though the dungeon i never got the blueish pot girls....

great job so far dudes! I checked on the internet to see how far is left and my god...there looks to be alot more to do! Longest game ever? But I'm glad it is so long, which means more watching this great endurance run. Although I'm curious to find out how this game ends and who is the culprit...

and I don't understand if you guys are being mean to Jeff and Vinny or if your trying (and failing) to convey sarcasm over the internet. They did great today compared to some of the other stuff and if you dont like it, go play the game for yourself, or just dont watch.

You know Aion: I've also completed P4 ( and P3:FES ) and I just need to remind you that if you stop your need for flame attention meaning stopping all future posting you might raise your understanding ( And as you know: Understanding is one of the key attributes in P4 ) from "I hate laughter!"  to just "Plain misunderstood"....

I would say you'd be doing all of us a giant favor if you just left.  It's one thing when you're Aion, and incessantly bitch but actually provide accurate information.  On the other hand, we have you.  Dekaja doesn't nullify revolution and rebellion.  Weapons and Armor stats aren't nearly as important as persona stats either.  So really, just keep your mouth shut and spare us your ignorance.

anyways about the weps/armor stats i know they are not important. BUT if jeffs idea will work he needs to have good weapons,if you cant use your head you gotta use your muscle

It seems they are understanding the battle system more and more. Like how Charlie's stats are defined by his equipped persona and I'm not sure if they noticed but how after equipping Cu Sith (almost half Charlie's level) he took about twice the damage Yosuke took from Rampage. Don't know if they noticed either but I would think they would think it a little odd that they could confuse the tigers with Skull Cracker all the time, which is because while they aren't weak to the different elements they are weak to status alignments. As for the question why they can't do an all out attack when they are all down it's because if I remember right those only occur after getting an exta turn meaning having to have your last turn consisting of hitting their weakness or scoring a critical.

Kind of weird that they ignored the gold enemy though since it basically was free money and chest keys.

Oh and I'm sure like most of what has been typed here has already been explained but doing those quests the fox gives you from the Ema(Shinto wish plaque) hung at the shrine will level up his social link (Hermit) and also make restoring SP cheaper.

It actually is recorded in bursts. Vinny and Jeff explained this on the bombcast a few weeks back. They play for as long as they can each day and break it up to have a bit for each business day of the week.

But yeah, I do agree with you that there's no sense getting angry about it. It does make sense on an entertainment standpoint.

Armor and weapons stats really do mean ALMOST NOTHING. I compared my end game armor with 350ish armor, and I only took 20% less damage then the cheapest armor I could find which was like 20 defense. So them going from like 50 to 70 defense really won't do jack. The weapon is a bit more important to damage (I think my best weapon had like 2-3x the damage of my worst), but it only applies to regular attacks, and you aren't using regular attacks when you are fighting the tough enemies. Even if they just blindly fuse every persona they could find, they would probably benefit more then buying new weapons and armor. Only real reason to get them is just for the bonus effects.

Starjack, either prove they've highlighted the fact they don't play daily in the first 44 videos or stop trying to look for an excuse to attack me. Quote them from the 44 videos posted thus far. Nowhere, and I mean nowhere, in the first 44 videos have either Vinny or Jeff suggested they don't play daily. In fact, they've gone out of their way to suggest they do play daily - like when Jeff corrected Vinny after he said it was Friday when he should've said Monday.

There hasn't been any sarcasm - there's nothing to be sarcastic about for humour. They either do or don't play the game daily, and they've said time and time again that they do, even saying once that they left the PS2 in the office on all night.

Maybe everyone in the know either guessed because of how Vinny akways says, "See you tomorrow!" before a weekend, or maybe most posters on here listen to the podcasts. I don't listen to the podcasts. You can swear at me all you want - it just shows how inarticulate you are - but don't suggest I'm dense because I didn't realize Vinny & Jeff have been lying in an attempt to make this whole run seem to have more interaction from viewers and be more fresh than it really is.

I don't really care if the videos for each work are done in one day. It's odd that they haven't been up-front about it and have seemingly attempted to hide it in the first 44 P4 videos, but it matters not to me.

If you listened to the bombcast, you'd know that they do not play daily, they play in chunks. Vinny said it himself, I believe it was 2 weeks ago, it was the day before the fight where they beat Yukiko. An email question asked them that exact question, and Vinny responded saying that they'll play for a few hours one day and segment it up into a few parts.

It's a pretty common broadcasting practice to go by the time the show will air rather than when it's being recorded. All those late night shows do it: Leno, Letterman, Conan, etc. I guess they don't want to create a disconnect with the viewers.

They are very tongue-in-cheek about it. I wouldn't say you're dense for not realizing it was happening that way, it took me several weeks to notice.

the gold hands also give u 1 chest key.. altho they havent had issues with finding these they might have in future.. also goin fishing seems to get you a chest key..

Damn it guys, You made me want this game so bad I had to order it from the UK. As opposed to buying it from EB games *cringe* who seem to be exclusive retailers for Australia.... That don't make no sense at all.

I've already told you that they said it on the Bombcast. Perhaps you missed that? I could try to track down the specific episode, but there are far too many to track it down. I'll just wait and hopefully someone else will remember the episode.

I don't see why everyone is tripping balls over when / how often they record these.

As long as we get our 5 videos a week, we should be happy right? Who cares about when they're recorded.

Those rock guys are strangely resistant to "almighty" damage. It's better to just cancel out and just hit them with your sword once they're down.

I personally never saw much of a need to level up Persona (it was much cooler to fuse new ones), but just realize that their stats are lower so you'll hit for less damage (lower strength/magic) and you'll get hit harder (lower endurance) if you have them equipped. If you guys are dead set on leveling up your weaker Persona then I'd suggest you do it on a second run through Kanji's dungeon since the monsters in this dungeon are hitting you hard now.

Stats weren't that big a deal in the first dungeon since everyone's stats were in the single digits but you can start seeing the separation now. You can get a feel now for which Persona are magic users or geared toward physical attacks, Sarasvati has double digit magic and Ippon-Datara has double digit strength, for example.

I certainly remember figuring out that they record these in batches just by watching the videos, and I didn't even know that's common or anything.

I know that this is defiently a late comment and stuff. I started watching the episodes like a few days ago so try and mind that. but i've been reading the comments on this one and the person Aion is actually giving some decent advice, except the way hes saying it all is making him sound like an ass. and like he said in one post, i've played through the game once and started again on expert so i'm fairly good at the game and most of the things he said made sense and was decent advice. and i'm sure other experienced players in the game would understand that too.

I love the endurance run but when are they gonna start doing a live weekly show with interviews and demos????? They need to start doing that soon, that would be really tight.

Reading these old comments are kind of funny. That Aion guy was pretty annoying apparently. I really wish Jeff & Vinny would be a little more careful though. I'm watching the Run to catch up to where I'm at in the game (dropped it last October) and I'm learning a lot from helpful posters. They could to. But maybe they do learn something? Anyway onto episode 45. And why did I write so much? :P

This would be so much easier for them if they healed up completely before each battle.
