Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 48

The occasional GB guest is a novelty and all, and nothing against Dave, but I agree that you guys should've had him up to speed on the previous episodes first. Long episodes are cool, but this one felt like it would've been a 20 minute episode with just Jeff and Vinny.

Love the Run. Keep it up.

I'm glad they didn't go for the stereotypical character with Kanji aka shadow kanji, he's complex and a pretty cool character. 

Dave needs to go watch the earlier episodes, there are some really funny ones to help fill him in on the whole persona game.

This episode felt a little boring to me. Part of that was probably because you had to go through all that story exposition as usual, but all the explaining and talking with Dave kind of made it hard to really enjoy what was going on, as well.

That's probably inevitable with any guests you have though, since they'll have no idea what's going on (or, at least, less of an idea...no one really knows what's going on in p4)

Dave's reaction to Fox was priceless, "Ohh man he's got...look he's like fucking super dog!"

If you ask me, that was totally Tele-Tubbies on the TV.  Not Power Rangers.

Great episode and a nice chunk of game time too.  It will be a disappointment when a short episode is released, getting spoiled here!  Even without the King Fight, it was a good episode with character development and push the murder investigation, with good bits of humor.  Will Kanji hook up with Yukiko?  The budding romance of Chie and Charlie is fun, I keep rooting for the awkward moment when things finally click.

Dave joining for the episode, great commentary even if he had to catch up when you guys are already 20 hours in, hopefully you'll have him back soon.  Another Ryan episode would be great.  What does Brad think about it and will he jump in anytimein the future?

Again, great episode and damn Gamerang for not shipping Persona 4 out sooner.  Although, playing at home won't compare to the wit you two can generate. Comedy Gold guys!

Oddly enough, I remember a time when I could empathize with Kanji's view on the nature of chicks and dudes. Two key differences being that

1) I eventually figured out not all women hated me, and I was Bi, unlike Kanji who is...straight? Gay? They never really clarified, but the funnier choice is of course FLAMINGLY GAY. (Seriously, sewing? You can't take two steps in San Francisco without roving bands of gay tailors fixing peoples clothes)

2) I wasn't outwardly angry or bitter at the world, I was just shy and had few friends.

It's cool to have a charachter in a game I can relate to who isn't even partially an offensive stereotype.

Lol @ Mutant registration reference. It all goes back to X-men, eh? And umm, you forgot to tell Dave that knowledge leads to popualrity, popularity leads to intimacy.

Bah, Kanji's love of sewing leads to some of the best lines in the game during his social link.  And I like how they have the version of the characters that they believe people see from them (the exaggerated and stereotypical "flaming" homosexual in the midnight channel) and the real characters behind the stereotypes.  Kanji's one of the most interesting characters in the game, and definately brings the comic relief throughout the rest of the game, but not because of his sexuality. 

Wow, I haven't watched these in a while but this one was good. 2 more to fifty!

It's 10:31 AM and 49 is no where to be found. I'm becoming depressed. :'(

AAHHH! Where's P49?...

It hasn't been reported yet but, after the bonus boss of Yukiko's dungeon killed them with rampage another two times, the two have decided to put the game on-hold for a few days. They haven't put the video on the site because they lost it, some of their comments being too much for a site that children frequent. It's understandable - the game can be frustrating at times.

Hmmm, going to check what happened to 49, it should be up. Now episode 50, that one may be lost to the ages...

the source file that we recorded seems to be corrupted. We're trying to salvage it, you know how those things go. It was a good episode too! We went to camp.

Ohh!. that's too bad. I hope that its salvation comes soon. How much time will it take? If it is even possible to save it...

Aw man, you had to comment right after I made a post attempting to get people to believe you'd stopped the run.

It'd seriously suck if an episode can't be posted. Have you already gone beyond that point in-game now? There was talk of you recording lots of episodes at once.

Argh! The camp bit was one of the parts I really wanted to see!

Loosing two episodes is not good. Considering you don;t do multiple saves will this be the end of the endurance run or will you plow forwards in some kind of time jump?

Oh no! The camp was one of my favorite parts of the game!  Was really hoping to see you guys go through that!

But more than anything, don't stop doing Endurance Run! It's the whole reason I discovered this site and it's now become one of my favorite destinations on the net!

Cut these guys some slack. They aren't doing this professionaly but voluntarily.

I think those guys just got tired of doing the endurance run and made a lame excuse for it. I can't really blame them, though.
