Where the heck did Chie's HI-YAH! battle quips come from? I noticed Yukiko starting the creepy "I am thou" around that time in my game, but Chie's quips never changed for me.

We have a winner! Yukiko's made to cast attack spells or healing spells; the only time she'll be hitting anything with her fan is when there's a fire nullifying/absorbing foe and there's nobody in need of healing. Not to mention that weapon damage does scale with strength, so this fan will do tolerable damage the few times she does have to use it. Besides, in P4 effects of weapons are almost ALWAYS more important than the damage/accuracy ratings, and +SP is pretty much the best effect you can get.

Damn! Nice boss fight but way too short. Like WAY TOO SHORT!!!

at one point i screamed bufula at the screen lol, it was so annoying watching that fight... why cant they at least remember who has their medium damage skills!

Just as a heads up to everyone, their initial plan was to create 10-15 minute episodes every day. The 30+ episodes were the exception, not the rule.

This episode was recorded last week before Jeff left for London. See the comments on the first page? April 22, 23, and 24.
That's why the episode is so short. This should be the last of those episodes, so expect a longer one tomorrow.

It's probably already been said, but when an enemy casts a "Blank" Wall you can still do damage with that element, they just won't be weak to it.

These are getting shorter and shorter and yet the Giant Bomb subscription fee doesn't go down.

Good episode.  When I saw the time I almost flipped but know this was another one that was recorded before Jeff went to London so hopefully tomorrow we can see a longer episode.

12 Minutes is understandable when you consider that Jeff and Vinny recorded Episodes 51-56 all at the same time because Jeff was in England.

15 does feel really short. I doubt technical problems are the worry as they could just release a couple eps. a day.

I agree that the eps. are probably just short lately because the guys are busy with other things at the moment.

Oh yeah if you're going to take on Kanji's dungeon again (the mini boss), don't bring Yukiko with you. Because the boss always casts Ice magic on Yukiko cause she's weak to it. So just bring in Kanji instead because I think the boss is weak to Zio

Im relatively sure that any "blank" wall not only makes a foe not weak to a certain element, but also resistant to that element. Not that it matters much in this case (the guy absorbed fire either way), but it's good for future reference.

This is where I switched to Kanji. Yosuke got in my way often enough that it was really annoying. Though for Kanji to be useful to Jeff and Vinny, they have to hop onto the physical spell boat, as Kanji is useful for little else than his monster strength and endurance stats.

I can't wait till they save Rise... it's gunna be hilarious. That's where I'm up to in the game but i don't see how the story could get any better then that.

Yeah its kinda sad to see these mini eps cuz Im having hard time getting myself to watch anything under lets say 20min (anything shorter is a major bother) but I quess I understand if its because of the corruption factor. Though I dont really know the details why or how the corruption occurs and Im not a tech guy, I still question if there isn't anything that could resolve it like those 2 identical hdds raid things or something but I quess if there were they would be using it so.... It cant be helped (?).

I don't know why they use Yukiko's regular attack for 12 damage instead of guarding, I've seen this a few times throughout the run... But with that weapon upgrade she'll probably be marginally effective physically for a bit now, which is gonna cement the bad habit! D'oh.

Nice, try keeping them down around 15 to 20 minutes. Thats about all I can handle now, having beaten the entire game. Still enjoy the commentary though.

Ohhhh, no wonder this episode seemed like they were sick of Persona 4. I didn't realize that they sat down and recorded so many episodes at once. That explains it.

I'm trying to fight the king now, and got him down quite a bit a few times, but his rampage attack insta-kills everyone except Chie, or Yukikko (can't remember which). Everything else I can recover from. My characters are all around 17th level. Guess I'll have to come back later, or hope he decides not to use his rampage attack.

Need another special episode going after the night nurse :).
