I thought Year of Luigi got extended to 2014.

My predictions for 2014:

• Hard core porn games on PS4 and XBone.
• Nintendo gives up on WiiU
• Phil Fish gets a weggie from some high school jocks and stuffed in a locker, making Fish really delay Fez 2
• Games will start being released on High quality 8-track tapes
• Cluster's Revenge 2: Princess Loving Moan's Revenge
• Sega kills Sonic in Yakuza 6
• Smash Bros on Wii U will have fatalities and DLC characters will be most of the MK line up, a character from Rape/Lay, and one of the bosses from Dark Souls

Could have done some light audio editing on this. Even just a little compression.

The real prediction: Moba and free to play over saturation, the big publishers will have to go after another silly trend instead.

Man, that Capcom one bummed me out...God damn.

MOBA's I could see, they've been way too formulaic for several years already, I still think there's room for some new ideas in free to play design though, and they're still trying new ideas out, as long as that happens I think the free to play games could continue to grow in numbers.

I predict a year of not much changing at all and the PS4 and Xbox 180 working hard to make themselves seem worthwhile but they won't get there until 2015.

I also predict @jeff will drop all his old man grumpiness and nostalgia and embrace new games completely. So much even, that he might sell off many of his old games and consoles.

That CAH/Giant Bomb fusion idea sounds amazing though. I hope to see more great collaborations between the two now that we have a representative out in Chicago.

The dude that predicted Valve's impatient on the Occulus team sounded almost identical to Gabe Newell which I found incredibly funny. Maybe it was intentional and the joke just flew over my head, I don't know! :P

I love that the prediction that a big name developer will release a game on Steam Early Access has already come true with Ubisoft soon-to-be putting Ghost Recon Online there for... reasons.

My favorite thing lately is when people accuse women of being white knights, or when they accuse people like Patrick or Kevin Van Ord of "just wanting women to fuck them".....which is funny on several levels.

That Jeff duder was probably right about WH40k games, and it makes me sad. Have tentative hopes for Eternal Crusade, though -- but that's 2015.

EA will make aggressive moves to try and get back into the good graces of audiences. Most of these will fail.

The next Call of Duty will continue a downward trend, despite an initially positive reveal.

Steambox will not take off to a degree that it can really be considered a success, and may even put some manufacturers into a bad place, financially.

Nintendo will greenlight games and make collaborations that they never would've previously made during the Wii era all in an attempt to save WiiU. Regardless of quantity or quality, people will continue to say there are no games for the system.

Sony bundles the PS4 with Vita.

Titanfall will cause some outrage at its lack of single player

Watch_Dogs will disappoint financially and critically when people realize it's kind of just another boring open world game with the ability to flip acouple of dumb switches.

Last Guardian will be seen again but not release this year.

I think it's funny, that people have taken to calling others white knights, as an attempt to hurt or discredit them. Since when did white knight get a negative connotation?

All commercially sold FPS games will have to be made without guns thanks to the Obama anti-gun laws. Only the underground scene will support the sequel to Call of Duty and Battlefield.

My prediction is that by the end of 2014, traditional MOBAs will be dead (except for the big two) and their properties subsumed into the DNA of other games. Kinda like the proliferation of RPG mechanics in EVERYTHING, and more recently Rouge-ish elements like procedural generation and perma-death.
