On the beer subject; there usually is sediment in beer, epically when homemade.  "Rolling" the beer doesn't force it to the bottom of the bottle, it simply mixes it.

If you make your own beer you there are some devices to filer it, but it doesn't really do anything but make the beer clearer.  Nothing that a little conditioning (time) in the fridge couldn't do.

Wow, I'm amazed at some of the guys' comments on Fallout 3.. how you manage to get bored by that game, it baffles me.

- Bad animations

- Boring quests
- Crap story
- No vehicles

The game was great in the vault and as soon as I left it just got crap.

Thank God. Some Fallout 3 disappointment.  

In response to the email question:  Yes, it's been confirmed both by admins on Steam forums and in other places that the Steam versions of EA games do not contain third party DRM, only Steam.  This  includes Spore, Mass Effect, Need for Speed, etc.  The one exception is Crysis Warhead, since that was released on Steam before all the hubbub over it really took effect.

For future reference, Steam lists whether additional DRM by the publisher is present on the info page of the game.

Empire: Total War? Creative Assembly's follow-up to the awesome Medieval II: Total War, which was the follow-up to the exceptional Rome: Total War. It's coming out in March so I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned during this Bombcast. The time period is great, the naval combat looks amazing and The Road to Independence campaign has made me very excited for Empire: Total War's release.

Jeff needs an amplifier for his keyboard. Sounds like he's plugging the talkbox directly so the tones seems low on juice.

So, if you play games on harder settings, that means that you're cheap, poor or have no life?
I mean, of course the difficulty setting on most games nowadays are easier than they used to, or could be, because of the publishers trying to reach a broader market. But saying that a game is easy, only having played through it on that or the easier settings is.. well.. kind of odd. I understand why you can say something like that about a game like Prince of Persia, which has no difficulty, but Metal Gear?
Also, I expected at least one of you to acknowledge the fact that beating a game, or even portions of a game is a lot more rewarding if you have to struggle a bit to get there (where the difficulty is by design, not by broken-ness).
Devil May Cry 3 for example, is one of the best action games ever released. And yes, it was hard on the default, but also incredibly easy on the easy setting.

Wow, it seems that snide is the go to guy when one of the bomb squad is missing. As for Ryan getting bored by fallout, I can see that. The trick is to use a guide so that you can find out where the quests are, because searching for them randomly isn't very fun.
