i've TRIED that, and variants of it, but for some reason the settings always get fucked up on their own after a few weeks. can't see what the hell's causing it, basically have to delete everything and restart again and even then it doesn't work well. i'll post my system specs later if that helps (lol)

If I search youtube in a week and don't see the wig bowling segment just posted on it's own there, I'm going to be rather bothered. That was amazing.

Anyone know of an alternative download link for the bombcast? The wifi I'm using at the place I'm staying for the next few weeks lets me visit the sight and download the videos, but the podcasts are restricted for some reason :( also I can't access the iTunes store.

Is anyone else just listening to the new intro over and over again? I love it, that is permanent ring tone worthy.

Thank god they brought up the "good" version of crash, no one on the pc group mumble ever took me seriously when I brought how "good" it was.

Okay, so they're likely going to either Yerba Buena (http://www.skatebowl.com/) or Lucky Strike (http://www.bowlluckystrike.com/) for bowling at my guess. (I think Mission Bowling Club and Presidio Bowling are a bit off the path from where Gamestop is headquartered.) Yerba Buena is the closest but Lucky Strike looks to be positioning for parties more from its website. Thoughts?

Patrick was able to phrase the Frog Fractions love during Game of The Year in a way that made it a little easier to understand. I've always viewed personal top ten lists as what an individual considers their actual favorite games, determined by examining the games' objective qualities through the lens of the person's own tastes, biases, and preferences. If instead you are judging the game not by its objective qualities, but by the actual experience it facilitated, than the choice doesn't seem so far fetched. Saying Frog Fractions is one of the best games of the year still sounds ridiculous, saying it was one of the best experiences you had with a game all year is completely reasonable. A little context makes all the difference in the world.

On that note I'd say that Jeff's idea for doing personal top ten lists in podcast form for 2013 is brilliant. It would grant that context for the listener, it would allow us to see the staff's reaction to each other's lists, and honestly I think the discussion that would come out of that would be far more interesting than whatever two sentence blurb they write to accompany their choice in the videos they currently use.

Jeff Gerstmann Ultimately I don't think the Amiga can be understood from games alone. Gaming, Programming, Demos were all connected (originally via cracking and intros of course). Many demo scene people then moved into game development when they grew up and entered the work force. Since I'm from Sweden I just point at Digital Illusions/DICE where people are still active in the demo scene to this day.

Agreed. Love GTA IV and liked Red Dead but didn't love it for exactly that reason. The pacing is absolutely horrible and every time that game made me do another fucking cattle herding mission I wanted to shut that shit off and never play it again.

I thought GTA4 was one of the most disappointing games in this generation for me. The singular title that made me buy a 360 and yet everything in it from the god awful story that meandered left and right without a purpose, to the terrible pseudo-realistic driving physics which had no place in a fun arcadey game made me constantly shake my head and sigh as I forced myself to finish it. On top of that the ending, which might have been cool and poignant in a 2hr movie but after 15-20hrs of gameplay felt like "haha get it all for nothing END" jesus. At least Red Dead had a great ending.

All subjective opinions though etc.
