Thanks for the near heart-attack, GB. I had forgotten how terrified I was of ET as a child. I once had a dream where I was lost in a horrible Dagobah swamp, and suddenly out of the murky water rose ET, covered in seaweed. As if he wasn't scary enough on his own, this iteration had tank treads for legs and glowwy red eyes. Then he looked at me and said in a ravenous voice "Let's get it on."

That ET picture looks like one from ET: The Ride from Universal Studios.

It is (was?) a really creepy ride.

I couldn't figure out what Brad was trying to say about the FTL door UI he talked about, but in the PC version you can open single doors by clicking on them. It sounds like he was saying you can drag over groups of doors to open in the iPad version, but how are you not accidentally opening doors all of the time?

Yeah, food allergy blood work is real bad cause they take several tubes of blood and then give you a chart at the end telling you how allergic you are to what. And the stuff that you get high scores in are often just things that will give you small effects.

Glad to learn Jeff is a MSTie like me. I still watch that show all the time, it never gets old and never jumped the shark, I love both Joel and Mike. I even love the movie which I was sad to hear was a nightmare to do for the Best Brains and the cast.

yep same here about Conan and his show. I watched the comedy stuff and then I would skip the interviews unless they were super interesting (they usually weren't) and then I would fuck off and go to bed. I love Conan. he's so funny, but yeah the talk show genre needs a shakeup like Jeff said. I'm hoping Colbert is the one to do it and not get herded into the same boring setup as Jay leno and others like him.

Conan feels like one of the bigger shows to embrace the Youtube clip: they have interviews up on their website but split into the parts you would care about, like "Ellen Page shows off her juggling skills". And Conan's best stuff was always the post-monologue comedy bit and the comedy bit they'd do between interviews, which was of course, harder to see if you went to sleep after the intro comedy bit like the rest of us. But I guess now you can watch it on Youtube the next morning, which makes it way easier for me.

I'm surprised they didn't talk about Kadokawa buying From Software.
