The Walking Dead game better than The Walking Dead TV show, yeah right...I guess is no LOST

Azura's Wrath was average at the very best for me, took all my energy and care to complete that game. Was super excited to play it after hearing Brad and Patrick play through it but man was I glad to end that damn game. It as it's charm but a giant demigod finger crushing down upon earth as never been more boring. For me none of the moments felt earned and the story itself had potential but felt all to flat and dull.  
 
It's worth checking out with a rent but not worth purchasing. 

Dishonored is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!! "Go with god." Haha yeah, I've played every god of war except the second psp game and I don't care about this new one what so ever. I haven't even watched the trailer and that's odd for me.

To be fair he is wrong on describing why Travis is not a "good" guy. Sure he kills people with little to no remorse but every single action game person does this, and don't give me any nonsense about self defense, you kill a bunch of unaware people in every game that has any sort of spotting AI. Travis though on top of that is a pathetic person. The kind that would be outraged at TERA's underage panties censorship. Especially in the second game where he really has no redeeming qualities (the revenge story was supposed to be told in side missions but the story beats were scrapped so they don't feel connected at all to anything). I love both of those games. Second part of the second game was not good at all in my opinion but even then there were some moments. And I enjoy Travis's antics to a certain degree. It is a crazy world he lives in and an even crazier situation he is in so I guess some slack has to be given. And hey, even some of the silly American otaku stuff is neat but please don't confuse it with him being a good or heroic person. He is a pathetic, reprehensible and annoying dude who also happens to kill people.

Isn't Patrick playing Witcher 2 on the easy setting in the first place?
 
Also it was nice to hear a comparison between Walking Dead and Witcher 2 brought up in terms of choices and consequences. Because i literally had the exact same though process with myself just a day ago.
I enjoyed playing both games immensely.

But whereas trying all the different approaches in Witcher 2 and looking for the seams during a second play through actually made the game better for me due to discovering just how branching and varied and impact full they made all the decisions (even tho yes they do do the diamond thing to a degree) Looking to deeper into the Walking Dead had the reverse effect for me, seeing how little of your choices matter and just how forceful the game is in keeping you on a single track.

Interesting hearing them talk about Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, I'd disagree with them a great deal. As a kid I grew up with a Sony console and so Sony characters are more meaningful then Nintendo characters. To be honest I couldn't give a damn about most of the Smash Bros characters and don't hold them in huge high regard. It's a taste or generation thing I guess. Seems wrong to dismiss the game entirely on that.

Been wondering myself on how well the Walking Dead game has been doing with the reviews, time to check gamerankings to see (generally avoid going to metacritic).

I started laughing uncontrollably for like a minute straight when they quickly listed Judge Rienhold as a tv judge.

I normally frown upon Patrick criticism on podcast comments, but on this one I agree. It's not just him, though. I've been feeling my way past Fez spoilers for two weeks.

It's funny that when one of the guys hasn't played something yet, they stop everything that could even lead to spoilers immediately, yet when that doesn't happen, they go all out. It's really starting to bug me. Atleast give a warning or something.

He hardly says anything about it. I just beat the game today and honestly I'm trying to think which hard decision of Chapter 2 he's talking about - theres a bunch of hard choices in Chapter 3 but I can't really recall what you choose at the end of 2 which makes me think I have a brain tumor or something because I JUST played it two days ago.

Now I am kinda looking forward to the Ubisoft press conference just to see what crazy or annoying thing comes out of it.

I kind of wish that Patrick would stop interrupting people in mid-sentence to extrapolate on a point that goes nowhere. Especially how he sometimes cuts Vinny off multiple times for no reason. I don't care about him slightly spoiling things unless it's like flat out saying the end of something like Red Dead Redemption, but the whole interrupting bit for no reason is just grating. I feel like whenever he does it I want to skip ahead or just shut my iPod off.

Whatever though, I fully expect to be called a hater even though I'm not hating. It's a legitimate complaint and a proper example of constructive criticism.

I'm not attacking Patrick in my post, I understand saying shit may have made me come off as a bit immature and made my criticism seem less constructive. I like Patrick, and I like the insight he gives on games, I just wish he would stop himself when he's about to get too deep into a game conversation into spoiler territory. It's not such a massive spoiler that people who haven't played the game will know what he's talking about, but it's enough to spoil it for someone like myself who is almost at that point in the game.

The Fez conversation doesn't bother me too much, because I haven't had time to actually play the game, and I'm sure when I actually do I will go back and listen to these bombcasts again to understand what they were talking about. But I could also understand where you are coming from with the vague hints being spoiler territory for someone who wants to go as far into the game as possible without knowing anything.

I do realize that, but it has reached a whole new audience by coming to the Xbox 360. I remember previous bombcasts where if a game was re-released or if it was ported to a new console they would stop potential spoiler filled conversation realizing there were new players who hadn't experienced it before. I think as recently as the re-release of Halo Brad stopped a discussion as to not spoil it because there were potentially new players who hadn't experienced it yet. (I could be entirely wrong about this last point, but I seem to vaguely remember other examples, also)

I'm pretty sure I know exactly which choice he's talking about from a few choice words he used, and I just got past it if it's the one I am think it was.

@Mesoian: as someone who lives in iceland, i can tell you that the people who go to the fanfest are great. I don't play EVE but i was really close to going to the fanfest this year. I have always gone downtown to meet the folks after the fanfest and its great chatting with them when they are fucking smashed. If the Drew or any of the crew members would go then i would LOVE to meet them at the fest.

Yeah, and he's managed to avoid spoilers for a year. I don't see how he should be punished for not being able to play it on PC.

You can't sell plex for irl money. You can buy plex and sell to other players for isk with real money. Only use for plex once you get it is isk or game time though.

Sucks for him. You people act like these guys are perfect at avoiding regular conversation with games as if they were friends. You honestly think this kind of stuff is easy to avoid? Try talking games with friends and try to keep it as spoiler free as possible. Shit like this just annoys me. It's been a year so this isn't that big of an issue to me. Skip over the part where they talk about a game or just skip it if you're so worried about spoilers. Sometimes this can't be avoided.

That's pretty much my biggest issue I have with him. He also used to do it back when he was on G4's Feedback. I'm guessing it's coming from a POV of being the young new guy. Seems like the guys accept it but I do feel someone needs to seriously remark him on that. It's a really annoying habit.

If Patrick thinks the combat's too easy, he ain't playing Dark Mode (or even Hard). Second playthrough, Scoops, try Dark Mode. You need to use all your tools. You need to prepare, and drink the right potions.

For an extra fun time, specialize in the Alchemy tree. Very much changes how the game plays, and makes potions, traps, and bombs vital. Toward the end of the tree you have the potential to be even stronger than a mage or swordsman, imo, but in a very different way.

Oh God the Eve stuff was so wrong. Shit like what went down last weekend was what got me into the game, so whatever. Eve has the best stories

I know some comments already mentioned it, but that seems pretty dismissive without knowing basically anything about it. I'm all for differing opinions, but at least have an educated one, you know?

Why is the crew so negative? Negative about Prototype (which I think is a very compotent game), negative about God of War, Negative about PS All Stars.

Seriously, I love listening to the guys, but they need to be a little positive. Game Critic doesn't always have to be critical about everything, you can praise once in a while.

Yep, sucks for me. Also, I answered your post earlier and didn't have any snide remarks towards you. What annoys you about what I said? Having criticism that isn't attacking someone? And I've had game discussions with friends and left it spoiler free, it's not hard at all. The only time I would skirt a spoiler is if they asked me to go a little more into detail.

To be honest that might be the thing more-so than the slight spoilers. He interrupts and then just says something about it, I don't want to skip ahead of something someone else is saying for the slight chance they will be interrupted with a slight spoiler. I don't think anyone is going to call you a hater about it, either. I like Patrick and his how he has different views on some games that would previously never have been covered, and I damn sure love his in depth news analysis. But you made an extremely valid point that I couldn't put into words as well as you did.

Dunno if it's been said already, but I just wanted to correct the guys on the whole S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 debacle - in response to comments on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Facebook page, one of the guys at Vostok clarified that it wasn't an issue of funding, but that whoever owns the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. IP simply refused to sign off on the game.

After hearing this bombcast, I'd actually be interested in a more messed up version of Clippy being around with some sarcastic/dark sense of humor.

Vinny has once again proven that he is one of the best human beings around. Only one hit with the hammer? Great man.
