Your client side image map on that podcast link is very poorly aligned in Firefox 3.

It would be nice if the description also featured running length of the podcast, and if possible, where some of the segment starts. Majornelson.com does that and I find that pretty handy if you listen to the podcast while working and want to listen to something again that you might have missed or just paused before a segment. :)

hey Ryan, I belive it's Ka-ra-te-ka (with no syllable stressing) as a japanese would say it (or exacly as we brazilians would too (except we stress a bit the penultimate syllable))

You've forgotten the best part of Karateka.  If you run into any other enemy not in your fighting stance, they kill you instantly.  But after defeating the final boss (Akuma), if you move towards your rescued girlfriend still in your fighting stance, SHE KILLS YOU INSTANTLY!!!  Very frustrating after beating the game the first time.

Also funny story about the reverse side of the disk...

You know, while I am in complete agreement with you in regards to the virtual version of beer pong, I'm not sure where the hate for the actual game comes from.  It's not just for frat-boys, we even played it at my hippy-dippy liberal arts college.

bit late in getting to the podcast this week, you can blame mass effect for that but was again another awesome podcast by the dudes!!!  karateka!!!! omg was that game awesomely hard or what? i used to play it for the Atari 520 ST and the sound was just horrific! i remember that last final dude you fight who has all this body armor aswell as the punching eagle or die heh.... you'd hit the spacebar to either go into running more or fighting mode and there was always this delay from switch from the running mode to the fighting stance which was usually when the eagle would kill you lol...

Another Awesome Bombcast!!! Love what you guys did with the site.

I hated the dismissive and degrading tone about reading and owning manga.  Sure some manga is crap but a lot is great.  Imagine if you were listening to a movies podcast and they said that exact thing about video games.
