Fables is awesome btw- once the primary arc ends (which is a long way in) it kinda loses its place but its worth reading

Happy to see Patrick enjoying 999, the true ending is still one of my favorites of the past decade or so. Also worth noting that to get the true ending you don't need to get every ending, skip the coffin ending as it's basically a giant cliffhanger and everything gets answer in the true ending; and if you're in a hurry you can probably skip the Submarine ending as well.

Virtue's Last Reward fixes a lot of the complaints he was having, I thought the puzzles were for the most part much better, can just tap X/A to move the text along and is much easier to jump around between paths; having just gotten a platinum on it last night I think I like it more than 999?

Nice to hear Patrick is enjoying 999. And, yeah, playing the rest of the endings with the spoiler free flowchart is the best option. Just go for the Safe Ending before the True Ending, and ignore the Coffin ending since it's just a truncated version of the true one and fully redundant.

And Virture's Last Reward is much improved mechanically, even includes its own flowchart. Just make sure to avoid saving in puzzle rooms if playing on a 3DS, else there is a risk of save game corruption.

I also just started with 999, it's suppose to be a novel with puzzle mechanics but the way it's written isn't very interesting to read. When characters talk it's fine but the game just describing what is happening at that moment doesn't really read like a novel. It's hard to get interested in the story.

@Ravelle: I guess there is a lot of the characters summarizing what they've learned, especially at the start. The hook for me at least, was the mystery of who Zero is, why the Nonary Game is happening, who is responsible for the events of the various bad endings, etc., and as I played I grew to know the characters better and become more invested in their fates.

Also, usually the game gives you enough information to figure things out before the answers are fully revealed, so after a while I found it hard to stop since I just had keep playing to see if my suspicions were right.

does it go into major TWD spoilers? on middle of 3rd ep but had to restart. was hoping to listen to it with some torchlight ii or xcom but if they get into apoilers may just have to hunker down and finish TWD.

Also, the true ending of 999 is horseshit. It doesn't actually explain anything in the main game, it simply plays out like an arbitrary chapter that takes place after the events of the main game. Cliche Japanese story telling bullshit.

Every time I hear stories about riots, assholes, barbed wire and sports games I remember how the media says video games are turning our kids into sociopaths and killers.

Kenny jumps from the balcony to the nearby rooftop, screw comes loose and the whole thing wobbles. I had Ben with me, and he was last to jump so shit went real bad for him, but I imagine if Ben is already dead, then nothing bad comes of it. No idea, though. Haven't looked up any alternate scenarios because I'm so attached to my personal story.

Wow, I read this before I heard what you were referring to, and I had another image of what that "white fluid" was.

its not that they didnt push cortana hard enough, its that they approached cortana the wrong way throughout the entire series. i lost faith in the halo campaign on halo 2, and it has been terrible ever since.

multiplayer on the other hand has always been of the best..
