Holiday Specialtacular 2016: A Festive Feast

I have no idea how to organize that last level.

Added challenge for this game: Nobody speaks. You all just have to understand your roles and be aware of what others need.

I think it's pretty awesome how wildly the scores change before and after they came up with a plan. I guess that's the power of friendship at work.

Turns out, these guys work pretty well together.

Man, all of this end of the year stuff has been a real treat. I like the ugly Christmas sweaters and the funny wink and a nod setups for the videos that they try to keep the fiction of going lol. This is a great abandoned house lol.

I would love to play this game, but I doubt I could get four people to play it with this much focus and commitment.

Of course they should be using separate chopping boards for raw meat and veg...

I adore the new take on game of the year.

Seeing Vinny back at the west coast office just makes me smile; it brings back so many great memories.

@marv89: to be clear, i think the videos so far have been great, it's just not as special or as unique as GOTY videos used to be.

I love the music in this game. It's got a real Danny Elfman / every 90's kids movie score to it.

I like this year's xmas content formula. Keeping the comedy routines short and concise, but still there, but sticking to their main guns for the core content. Keep it up guys!

That said, Overcooked doesn't lend itself to the personality driven formula that well; While it's certainly intense and probably fun to play, there's barely time for anything else than in-game communication.

I loved this! I love watching them having to figure stuff out and then just. fucking. executing! Oh yeah!

This was great fun to watch. I loved seeing them figure out a efficient system for getting all of the orders done and seeing it work so well.

The framing device of these videos gives me so much glee. They're going to have an impossible time topping the Year Videogames Disappeared videos, so going back to basics seems like a wise idea.

I really loved seeing them tremendously fuck up the first time through each level before creating a strategy and nailing it. I've seen Overcooked before but this time it was extremely satisfying.

Anyone know what holiday music track is playing during the first 30 seconds or so of this video? Love it

Great content, and to be fair, from what I have watched so far, all this years extra content (as in Holiday Specials) have been fantastic to see the West and East crew playing these games together.

Really loved this game, then it got hard... gotta get back to it and give it another go sometime.

It's masterful that this game uses the same classical music as The Great British Bake Off.

It's PO-TA-TO Dan, not "tater".

Best thing in this video is when I skipped a couple of minutes ahead during the first flamethrower level, and the entire kitchen was on fire.

I think this game would work a tiny bit better if they didn't show you the timer. Because things take a specific amount of time, once you reach the countdown, you just give up because you know it's fruitless. Kind of makes the ending a bummer. I also think not showing you the required scores for the various star levels before you play it the first time would be good. Once you get a grip of the game, you can recognize how difficult a level will be based on the required scores before you even play it, which ruins the surprise.

Im watching this now- I miss this crew and its christmas
