Interesting. It seems that Brad disagrees with Jeff about the journey of Mass Effect 3 and really liked it. I hope it ends up on the top 10 list because I think it belongs there.

Good going playing the Mass Effect 3 ending over and over again instead of playing the billion other games you should be playing for GOTY.

I'll be really bummed if Vinny is the only one who played through Binary Domain and then it doesn't end up getting any respect because no one else can speak for it. Same for stuff like Spec Ops.

All that whining on the Bombcast and everywhere else how there's too many games to play for GOTY...

crap, I can't watch this cause they started talking about ME3, god damn it I should of played it the entire weekend, only played like 6 hours.

I dunno how next week is going to work, if you'll still be busy, but the very cool looking Diablo/Zelda mashup Labyrinth Legends is coming out on PSN then, and it would be really nice if you guys could get a look at it before you go on a break.

Patrick posted a picture on Twitter about how he earned max respect from Big Bo. I imagine that would be something quite deep into the game, so at least Patrick can talk about Binary Domain.

He's so right, I felt the same thing. Mass effect 3 was way overshadowed by mass effect 2, or at least the novelty and atmoshpere of it. Mas effect 3 felt underdone to me. I think that if they took about twice as long to make it, it could have been a truly great game

Definitely down for a GeoChache version of GOTY.

@Dberg: It's probably how far away you are from their server. I'm in the US and never have to wait for buffering and I play everything in HD. Although I am on a 75/35mbit connection.

why doesnt brad just play things when they come out? its not that difficult.

I always thought the Indoctrination Theory was interesting, but unlikely because it was so in-depth compared to all the other writing in Mass Effect. Still more interesting than any of the canon endings, but I'm not desperate to change them or anything.

If the Leviathan and Javek DLCs somehow come up as arguments for the main ME3 game's quality I'll be flabbergasted in a bad way. Too much talk how you can't play the main game without these DLCs in a way that makes it sound like they somehow redeem the main game. Thankfully I can trust Jeff to drop some sense into the discussion if that happens. Maybe I'm just paranoid and am reading too much into Brad's reaction.

That shit was not in the product that was released as Mass Effect 3. That content wasn't in the thing that I bought and didn't enjoy. DLC of the year, sure that's fine if you feel like it but as a thing that somehow makes ME3 closer to GOTY, no way.

Hummm I love mondays... no, its i love mass effect 3 content.. until min 5:32 (of 7:08) um come on guys, the game came out 8 or 9 months ago... And I love love love the game but its time to let it go.. How many games did brad not play while obsessing on this one?

Never played ME3 (and won't ever, probably. I don't like how they fit multiplayer into the game), but ME2 wasn't as good as ME1

Guys, you still have 3 weeks. Don't be all finalizin' your top tens just yet. I'm planning to fit two retail games and three downloadables from this year in that time before I commit to anything, though I doubt I'll finish all of them.

Also I think Thessia is the absolute one mission you bring Jaavik for. I mean, there's a lot of missions to which that applies, but Thessia most of all.

When Brad said he thought he had his list done, and now he doesn't know again, I think ME3 is what he was referring to.

Frankly, with the Extended Cut ending, the game is fucking FINE! I agree with Jeff that it's kind of weird how every dangling thread gets tied off so neatly, but to say it ruined the experience? I don't think I agree with that. Even if it was awfully convenient, each individual story thread was super-interesting - the resolution of the Geth/Quarian conflict was my high point for the whole game, in particular. And a Salarian giving his life to end the genophage? That was a great twist.

Yeah yeah, so the Star Child was a little hokey - if the Reaper AI had taken any other form, it would have been fine (again, with the extended ending).

I can't believe Jeff thought it was so much worse in comparison to ME2 - a game with a main plot that was essentially a weird diversion from the Reaper story, and an ending where you fight a giant human Terminator (and the justification for it's existence is bollocks). I loved ME2, but I also liked ME3 just fine.

It's too bad I'll have to pass on Mass Effect 3 DLC as Bioware stuff NEVER goes on sale for the PC.

Agreed to an extent, but Binary Domain is a run-of-the-mill shooter with some personality and not something that needs hours of GOTY discussion over.
