Also, that's a hot jam at 55 seconds in. "
That sounds like I've gone back in time about 12 years and I'm watching Doug on Nickelodeon.

Would be nice if the sound of falling into the void was more frightening.  It's a bit too light hearted in that aspect.

Odd game... and odd mic noises mid way through. One is disorienting, one is disturbing. Good show.

Now I like mind benders and puzzles as much as the next guy, but the constant stop-and-go is a little nauseating.

It looks neat in concept, but I'd think all that halting to change gravity would be very tedious after a while.. I know it's the point of the game, but it looks tiresome.

It's just sad when it takes a lame console port to get everyone to notice an indie PC game. :(

Looks like a good game. It's downloadable. Don't see a problem with that... except I have no wireless. :P

I just downloaded the demo of this on Steam and i didn't really like the controls.  It has gamepad support but apparently that doesn't mean X360 gamepad support, i thought it'd let me use the analog sticks to rotate the world.  It looks to me like what Ryan was doing with the Wiimote is the most intuitive way to play that game.

Basically gravity always goes the same direction and the world spins around you.

Cool piece of trivia, and it does ring a bell now you've mentioned it...
It is differently the reference they were going for - Although It's still kinfdof hard to see how it applies

Even though you can insist that the world is rotating around the player, he is still clearly affected by something like gravity. Or something like that.

@Dedodido said:

@EternalInfinity0:   Hmm, I see what you mean.  I was thinking in portal terms, where your momentum relative to the level is conserved. Like Voidoid said, it depends on whether the level is being rotated, or just the direction of the gravitational field. It seems unlikely that a game developer doesn't understand the basics of momentum, so you're probably right. "

The momentum is conserved relative to the screen's orientation. Gravity is always down relative to the screen as well. It makes sense that, if 3 out of four elements (the screen, gravity, and momentum) are linked, the fourth (the terrain)  is probably the one that is moving.

it has a cool artistic style, technical graphics isn't everything y'know, of course it depends on the taste of the artistic visuals too.

This would be better if on the 360 or PS3 where you can rotate the world with analog stick. I agree, it is a bit tedious.

It does seem that as the "3D" games become more and more generic (probably due to the huge development costs and need to reach the widest possible audience), the only originality is in 2D platformers. The indie scene has always stood out due to the strength of its ideas and off-beat gameplay rather than a brand or retread of common tropes.

Good to see games like Limbo, Lost Winds, Echochrome and this just present a little variation in the market. They may not sell in great numbers (although Portal, 'Splosion Man, LBP and Shadow Complex were neat ways to combine old-style 2D invention in an accessible and marketable format) but here is where the art, intelligence and raw enthusiam of the games industry is.

Looks boring. But then again, it's a gimmicky indie platformer, so I guess that's to be expected.

The US has a lot of catching up to do if they want to outweird europe in the indie genre. But nothing outweirds nobby nobby boy, so I guess we all have something to learn from the japanese.

...and yet it moves ("...eppur si muove") is the sentence that it's said Galileo Galilei muttered after the Inquisition made him renounce of his theory of the Earth moving around the sun, not the other way around.

The more you know!
