In fairness Gun.Smoke is a western so it is odd that Mister Winchester doesn't use a Winchester Rifle, given that it was "the gun that won the west." Winchester didn't really make successful shotguns until the late 1880's, at which time they did popularize the lever-action shotgun and make the pump-action "Trench Gun," I don't know if that still qualifies as the western era though.

Ghosts 'n' Goblins isn't hard. Ghosts 'n' Goblins ON NES is fucking hard. Frame rate lag + the difficulty of Ghosts 'n' Goblins is fucking ROOOOOOOOOOOUGH!

Section Z was good. Well I think so because I could actually finish it. By extension then, I was good. Ghost's 'n Goblins I couldn't finish, but it was also good. Gunsmoke? Oh yeah that was good too.

Okay, yeah. There's not many of them...but the ones that there are seem to be pretty good.

some people up in arms about them condemning American western video games, but am I the only one upset that they condemned all western films other than ones made in Italy? I like Spaghetti Westerns as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to damn all the works of the decades before them because of it.

I really wish they would do more with this. Ghouls and Ghosts looks like it's perfectly emulated and I might give that a whirl.

Ryan said the west never got spaghetti western games right, but I think Outlaws was amazing. Lucasarts put it out on the PC in 97.

It was a fantastic wild west shooter, had a great art style, good weapon variety, and shooting similar to Doom. Loved that game.
