When the camera zoomed in his feet were floating above the ground and not connected to his shadow; maybe that's Jeff was noticing.

A helluva game are feeling like board meeting scenarios

I think this game is actually a whole lot better than God of War--not technically, of course.
I like the characters more, the whole setting and even the design of the enemies, though GoW certainly had some insanely spectacular bosses, no doubt about it.
Still: I'm enjoying this game a whole lot more than God of War III earlier this year.

I dislike the way you speak, but I do agree with you. The thing is, no one says that about any kind of game except hack and slash games like Dante's Inferno or this. No one looks at an FPS and says "Call of Duty clone!" because that's just the way the genre IS. This genre has evolved in such a way that, if it's anything LESS than God of War in terms of combat, it's barely enjoyable to people. Dantes of War!

I'm going to say that Symphony of the Night is the best game ever and, regardless of the quality of this title, claim that it is garbage to prove to everyone that I am cool.

I like Castlevania and God of War, but the demo and this video do nothing for me.  The camera seems kind of weird and the controls weren't very intuitive.  Something just feels off about it, but I can't really articulate it.
 
Also, the UI and fonts look cheap.  Is it weird that I care about that?

 While it's a solid fun game in all aspects I will say it left me disappointed.   The main reason is so far I don't feel I'm playing Castlevania.   This game so far feels like a really, really good high fantasy  game which they scrapped and then slapped Belmont on his name and Castlevania on the cover.   I mean goblins,  ogres and  fairy's?????    That's not the universe nor the theme that Castlevania means to me and a lot of fans.   I have a strong feeling that this game originally was not intended to be a Castlevania game but something like Fantasy,Elve's God of Lord of the Rings something something blah blah.    

All this GoW talk is dumb lol as if you guys hav never seen a  game draw inspiration from somewhere before (and do it well).

Great quick look as always.For the record,I can't wait to get my ticket to "Rune Stabber",coming to theaters next week.It'll be awesome,movie of the year!However beard swinger sounds like a cash-in sequel.Will not see it.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow of the Colossus

It looks like it's probably a good game, but not really what I'm looking for in a Castevania game.

What's wrong with a little Patrick Stewart in your game? He's a classy fellow, and he flew a space ship to other planets. Great actor comes to mind, also. No one has snide remarks when Gene Hackman does voice overs in media and entertainment outlets other than movies.

Hilarious quick look. Nice job, still a little worried I'm buy this game. Hope it's good.

How DARE they rip off Shadow of the Colossus like that?  Fuck this stupid wannabe God of War / Shadow of the Colossus / Prince of Persia wannabe.  I'm sure it's better than the 3d Castlevanias Konami shat out earlier, but it's not enough to make me interested.  Even if Patrick Stewart lent his considerable voice over talents.  Also, Aragorn.

Subscribing members, riddle me this: Does this game look really good in the HD option? Because at the High resolution, this framerate and texture looks . . . really bad. Like, Deadly Premonition bad.

Old Castlevanias?  The old castlevanias were generic alternative action games.  God of War is the modern alternative action game.  This looks like God of War, not a classic castlevania as it would require more snappy movements than God of War's strong, smooth movements.

The demo was, most certainly, entertaining and great to look at. I'm definitely buying this game. Also GB hurry up and review this, please =).

terribly boring boss fight!

I dont know why I didnt take this from the trailers I saw but this has a real borderlands look to the art style which I REALLY dig.  Might have to end up getting this at some point. 

I've been hearing a lot more praise than hate for this game. Rental or purchase?

Pretty underwhelming, though I can't be assured until I play it myself. It seems to borrow way too much from other games. Action games in this vein in general seem to be getting pretty stale.
