You guys missed a golden opportunity with the mind reading in this game. From what I played of the demo, that was pretty much the only good part.

What's sad is that over the weekend I almost bought this game because I thought it looked so amazing in the screenshots. So with that in mind I have to say thank you, Giantbomb. Have I ever told you that you're my hero?

lol, damn, this game bummed everyone out.

If this game was made by college students i would be impressed but to have someone release this to the public and for MONEY thats just a disgrace. That game needs to be in development for another year or 2

Looks like it could be an ok game for the PC.

I really loved Divine Divinity but this... how can they even release it. Is the PC version just as bad? I had such high hopes, such found memories of the first one.. :'(

Played the demo and there is something wrong with the animations and physics in this game. They're not just bad, they're broken. Animate at a much lower framerate than the rest of the game.

HIllarious. Also I think only Mythic used Gamebryo well..f3 is quite bad as well in the animation dept.

Nothing like having a group of people goof on a game while it's being played.
Believe me, it's not as bad as they would have you believe.
It's a hard game, with a clunky frame-rate, but that's about it for the bad points.
 
I bought Darksiders, Bayonetta and Divinity II on the same day....
Divinity is the one that I'm having the most fun with.

Since I'm not an American, but rather Swiss and the statement is somewhat true - the German speaking demographic (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) is truely into RPGs like Gothic and Risen and I myself enjoy this type RPGs myself, I feel quite entitled to label us in such a manner.  Look racism, sexism and whatever -isms you can come up with - they are usually based on facts, like the fact of the bi-gender makeup of the human race - the seperation of the species in males and females.  Whereas 'non-tolerance' for such attitudes comes from idealism aka wishful thinking. As in saying there is no difference between males and females - even if we are clearly different. I don't say either is a good or bad thing to do or think. Or that a factual difference is a reason to value somebody or something less. I just say what's on my mind. Like German gamers generally love exploration focused RPGs like Gothic, Risen or... Divinity 2. "

This game is hilariously bad.

This game feels like it should have a weirdly devoted eastern european fanbase built up around it like it was Gothic or something. That's the vibe I get from it at least. Doesn't look very good though.

I was really hoping this game was going to be decent, but It doesnt seem to even hit that mark.  Guess I will pass.  Not that it really matters, ME2  is out in two weeks!

I played the PC demo and it seemed to be quite a bit more polished and fun than what you guys experienced with the 360 version. It still didn't strike me as a game I have to play or own. The story, leveling and fighting just seemed fairly mediocre. It has some nice dialog options and occasionally a really nice sense of humor, but that's not enough to make me buy it...  

That was somewhat depressing.

Watching those ducks reminded me of that scene in Family Guy where Peter jokes about have their budget cut. They actually released this game? Shame on them.

 I can't stand crud like this getting the light of day when better and less heard of games aren't touched. >:0

Two Worlds was awful and just not fun at all. Divinity II however, is deeper, more satisfying, better acted, and just more polished (even though it's quite unpolished). Two Worlds was just THAT horrid. "

I've actually been hearing good things about it, so I'm surprised that this looks kind of bad.

The game doesn't seem too terrible - doesn't seem great either.  That said, it was another great Quicklook - Although... Vinny not knowing Andy from Dave was disappointing :(

I've played a great deal of rpgs (past 14 years or so).
Having played this game (on the PC), I can say without hesitation that Divinity 2 is indeed a great game. 
 
If you've ever liked heavy rpgs that didn't hold your hand (morrowind and the like) you'll be surprised with what Divinity 2 has to offer.

That didn't seem terrible, really. I might buy it when it's $10.
