Quick Look: EX: Persona 4 Arena

Aw fuck. I just pre-ordered this. Crap.

I often hate QL EXs, but man. Aram is entertaining to listen to and seem a thousand times more laid back than anyone who ever shows up for these. I had no intention of playing or getting in to this, but man. This actually looks pretty cool and somewhat easy to pick up.

Day one. What a crazy and great idea this game was

The UI and music make me happy.

Dat music... synonymous with summer after 10th grade. What a magical time. Too bad you 'can't go back'. Maybe I'll hit myself in the head with a hammer so I can experience the Endurance Run for the first time all over again.

Looks amazing. And that's enough for me to want to buy a game. Too bad I'm in Europe, lol.

Oh man this looks cool. Too bad I don't own a console to play this.

Does discarded womanhood and carnivore descriptions of this Chie mean that she's become a tranny to further embody her hero Jackie Bruce Lanchan?!

Me too. I was pretty sure I wasn't interested in this when I heard ArcSys was doing it, but it seems like they really nailed it. The fighting system seems right up my alley and man, that story mode!

The art is goddamn gorgeous.

This looks amazing. The BlazBlue series has an amazingly rich and deep story line, the fact that there's so much story in the this game doesn't surprise me at all.

I can never get into fighting games... but mannnnn....

Fair enough, but he fits in so well with the crew that I think I just always glossed over the idea of QLs involving him being EXs. Such is the nature of their relationship with Double Fine, y'know?

Fantastic. Really looking forward to this. Not looking forward to paying $80-100+ USD for it though when it finally releases in AUS however - thanks region locking. But we needs it, Precious and we will has it.

Ah, that was nice. Had to dig out my old shaved ice maker to replicate the old Endurance Run feel. Shaved ice and Persona 4 in the middle of the night. Hearing some of those old tunes got to me as much as seeing the old characters.

Oh i remember that question about ressentiment was one of the questions in class.

Aram forgot to say one of the P3 characters voice actress is different. Specifically Fuuka Yamagishi is now voiced by Wendee Lee, which I think is an improvement. She's not a playable character (seeing as her Persona is similar to Rise's) but she's still in the game.

I'm pretty sure Jeff said in one of the endurance run episodes "man, they should totally make a Persona 4 fighting game", or something along those lines. I can't be bothered to go through all 155 episodes to find it, but I'm quite sure of it. :)

I can't remember which episode, but in one of the school tests that Jeff and Vinny do, a question featuring the word ressentiment crops up. They establish that it is in fact a real word. Ryan should really stop this "I know better" attitude when in fact he is completely wrong.

Edit: Sorry for not acknowledging the fact that earlier posters managed to not only track down the P4ER episode that the question is in but also embed it! I couldn't resist commenting on it before reading through this thread.

Oh my gosh. The moment I heard that menu music I got a sudden chill like catching an unexpected glimpse of the sexiest thing you can imagine. At that moment, I was in.

The music pulls me right back into my Persona addiction.

1. Ok already, I'll sit down and finish Persona 4!

2. Reading the review and watching this, I'm sold. Whenever this decides to get to Europe, I'm all over it.

Unfortunate that the Atlus guy didn't seem too clued in on the game at all really, neither the fighter or Persona 4

well it's out in Europe... FINALLY!

Came back to this to see if the story stuff was worth checking out and it looks like it is! Now to check out Ultimax.

Also, gotta agree with those saying Aram needs to brush up on his stuff.
