Yeah, how did they go about casting this game? It's got Kate Welch formerly of Guild Wars/PAX PRIME RUMBLE, our own @fobwashed, and I'm sure tons of other people we might know. Not to mention the email they sent out asking for random people to send in audio clips (I almost did this, but I felt like my yelling wouldn't be up to par). Was it just some sort of Seattle free for all? If so, what is this searing jealousy bubbling up in my chest?

Whats the difference between a Quick Look and a Quick Look EX?

There were cheap remote controlled cars late in my youth that only had "push to go" and "turn right" for controls. I wish they had been this much fun.

The extras settings already made this a great game. Awesomeness detection? +1. Using .beats? +0.5.

I got the Early Bird promotion locked down right after PAX East, can't wait to finally play this!

I wish you could blow up round-a-bouts. We just had one build in my town and it's a nightmare.

But this game still looks like fun. I'll be picking it up.

Man, I never like Quick Look EXs as much as normal Quick Looks, I just get the feeling that the GB crew is very careful to not speak like they normally do because, well, there's a dude who worked on it right there, and he's still a person so let's not be too rash in what we say!

They'll usually still point out faults and whatnot, but it's never as biting as it would be without the dev there, I'm glad they label these separately, though. Like when they had the lead dude from the Dungeon Keeper Mobile team on and just let him ramble about how hard they tried and that he thought it was a good game and blah blah blah, I was waiting for someone to say "Yeah, but the game fucking sucks. You know it sucks, right?" I don't know if he was living in some kind of fantasy world and actually believed what he said, but damn someone needed to bring him back to reality and not pretend like they gave two shits about the nonsense he was spewing.

I have gotten totally off-topic!

Anyway... This game looks pretty stupid, but also kind of awesome. The FMV bits are a liiiittle much, but nothing too egregious. Kind of wondering how long it would be and how complex the mechanics get after a while, the novelty of a spinning limo obviously needs a lot of variety to stay interesting.

I like everything about this game, can't wait.

At least, that's what I'm expecting, and I think that is a healthy expectation. I would like to be pleasantly surprised.

@somberowl: in a quick look EX the developer does most of the quick lookin' while the duders ask the questions.

Usually you're less likely to get the hard core honesty but for skill games like roundabout, you see way more of the game.
