Oh my god. This was some of the best fucking fun I ever had in an Arcade.

I may have to buy a Wii U now (Although I wonder how much of the fun is lost with the lack of Haptic Feedback)

It's got a bit of an Earth Defense Force vibe but the gameplay just doesn't look as fun (turret-less tank controls just don't seem like a fun idea in general though I guess they couldn't change that since the arcade game was designed around that idea). I'm surprised that you guys took the no online explanation like that, did you not want to call him out on that?

The game seems fine, but it doesn't really seem like something that could be a full retail product on it's own.

Man, the comments for anything related to the Wii U have been super negative around here lately.

I haven't cared about the Wii U but this actually looks really neat.  And now that my 7 and under nephews all play games on touchscreens, I can understand what the hell Nintendo's been banking on.  
 
Also, the face thing is stupid and excellent.

I think this highlights why the Wii U is a weird sell. So you have the controller gimmick, but only one, and you can play with 3 buddies who have to play split screen together. Soooo...why not just ditch the controller screen and do 4 player split screen? There are ways that all the asynchronous multiplayer the Wii U goes for makes sense, but if developers just use it like this its a pure gimmick that adds nothing to games. Even if this was a 5 player game the extra screen doesn't really add anything.

But then again this looks like a quick'n'dirty arcade port made just for the sake of getting something on the shelf on launch day. I'm still interested to see how the big releases play.

Holy shit the announcer is annoying in this, couldn't even finish the Quick Look, "DIRECT HIT" "DIRECT HIT" "DIRECT HIT". Who wants to listen to that?!

I guess having plenty of cartoony, kid-friendly looking games is still a big part of the Wii U...I was not impressed with how this game looks at all on the hardware, but maybe that's just authentic to the original?

I actually like the way it looks, and I bet me and my kids would have fun with this. But alas, not buying a Wii U.

I think you're reading into it a little too much.

I assume EX's are of a preset amount of content that the developer wants to show. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Even if this is $60 it's still going to sell like crazy. It looks like a $15 XBLA game though.
