Quick Look: Game Room for 11/03/10

who in their right mind would say sprint master was the best racing game on the 2600?  indy 500 was where it was at in my day.  my best friend and me played that game for hours.  best use of the paddle controller ever, silky smooth turning (not the shitty ass turns and bumping into walls like in this piece of crap), and great sound effects.
 
why don't they actually release some good 2600 games instead of all these crappy ones?  berserk, indy 500, stampede, combat, haunted house, joust: these games are all great--even today.
 
every time i watch one of these quick looks i get so depressed.  game room could be totally bad ass, enough that i might even consider buying an xbox 360, but all these obscure games and lack of arcade games is just killing the concept completely.

why aren't they putting out the realy good games ? al i've seen up to now are semi classics and crap !
i will never buy any atari 2600 game . they are too old. even though i played them when they were hot .
now the whole concept of the arcade is being puked on. and why some obscure,never released , shitty ass game has been put on game room i will never get . dont they want to sell games ????

I was in tears laughing when they both got stuck on the ramp in Super Sprint.

Someone should take over Game Room and fill it with classic gems.

Ha, Ryan's now-open hostility is hilarious.  I feel like this is the Giant Bomb equivalent of Screened.com's 30 Days of Hate feature.

Oh my. This is by far the greatest Game Room QL yet. Sprint AI racers racing all smooth and as soon as they start playing they just smack right into the wall.

One of my most anticipated games of this year is Game Pack 12 for Game Room.

They should officially call these "Game Room Endurance Run"

Game Room....begone! This stuff just depresses me. Yes these games are viable as curiosities. Hell, some of 'em might even be decent. But the technological underpinning of this medium sort of predetermined this stuff as becoming obsolete eventually.

I am deeply enjoying going back through these videos and watching Jeff's enthusiasm crumble and Ryan's tolerance for the service change from polite criticism to open hostility.

Sprint Master is a travesty, it's 6 years after Pole Position. Arcade games blow Atari 2600 and Intellivision games out of the water.
