I'm not sure why but I think I'm more interested in this than any other Gears game.

Man, I love gears, and this game still looks fun but the number of maps is extremely dissappointing. No execution or guardian. This game is kind of a bummer

Not sure what it is about these games - all the Gears games look really damn boring. And despite this being VJ quicklook, I was so bored out of my mind by the stuff on the screen that I just couldn't watch all of it.

I'd rent it. Its coming to redbox and if its something I really like I'd pick it up down the line at a price drop.

I feel like this should be a $39.99 or $49.99 title at launch. I don't know if there is enough there like Jeff is saying to justify the full price of the game. Looks good, just lacking in content.

@vinny Baird uses his goggles in Gears 2 when he's flying a Reaver. They're still dumb though.

I'm really feeling like that now too especially after seeing the Gears 3 menus in Judgment. The other part where there is a lot of content on the way behind that season pass seems really scummy. People were complaining about this when 3 came out but at least 3 was packed to the brim with SP and MP content.

I absolutely love the Gears series, but I couldn't be less interested in the campaign in this. The move to arcadey at the sacrifice of all scriptedness, set pieces, and just story in general completely turns me off. Kind of a bummer. This is exactly why I was concerned by People Can Fly taking over.

Yes it looks like between this & God of War game this year of being the 'just kidding about the franchise ending'. As bad as Bulletstorm was at times, I'd have preferred something more from that than this lackluster game.

The weird thing is, the live QL of this, i could view in 720p. But, watching this again on the GB site, i can only watch it in (i'd like to say) 320 or less? So, does this mean, to watch any GB footage in a decent res i have to be a premium member?

Btw, 3 stars for completing a mission in this reminded me of Angry Birds, anyone?

I just realized this is from People Can Fly, the guys that made Bulletstorm. Suddenly I am actually interested.

Developers seem more focused on getting more money out of the people that payed $60 instead of giving people a reason to give the $60 in the first place...

Ah yes, the gears keep turning, but the vehicle isn't moving.

That's the crazy thing about this all. I play big budget freemium games that don't micro-transaction the heck out of their systems as much as this game seems to do.

This hard-lined 60 dollar price point has got to go if they're going to keep pulling these practices.

I'm disappointed it's such a step back from Gears 3. Also screw all that season pass and more pay pay pay for a game lacking in content to defend the retail price. I'll still stick with Gears 3.

Vinny's right, the campaign seems super-arcadey with 3 star scoring, limited areas, and modifiers. Between that and the limited multiplayer, this definitely looks like a $30-$40 game, not a full-priced game. And that DLC is gross, another step down from even Gears 3's mess of DLC.

Um, the blindfold is kind of an important part of the symbolism in the judgement statue. No blindfold implies bias, which is of course a perversion of the idea of justice.

You know, graphically & artistically, I think this game looks really great. I'll play it... probably when it's $20. You know, when the next consoles are out but I've already played all of the new release exclusives.

Let's face it; what's the % of consumers that are going to actually pay a full $60 for this game; or at this point in time any game. And Epic/People can Fly know it. I'm trading in 3 older games, and have a coupon; I'll probably spend $10 or 15 bucks cash to actually purchase the game new. Jeff seems to really like the single player, but punishes the game in his review, for the Multiplayer being full of micro transactions. That seems ridiculous to me. I can't blame the publisher for that. I haven't payed full price for a game in probably over 3 years. Between Gamestop, Gamefly, Redbox, and Amazon, I'm always getting discounts and deals. I don't walk into Best Buy every other Tuesday and pay $60 +tax for the newest hottest release, and I doubt most gamers don't either. Everyone is always looking for a deal. So publishers are just looking to re-coup a little. Fighting against the used/rental game market. Jeff keeps bringing up the price point, get real Jeff, the price tag may say $60, but I'll be spending a lot less. Your review should just reflect the good time you had with the game, nothing else.

This is the first time I noticed it's spelled judgment without an e after the g, and even though it's a proper way of spelling it, it bothers me now. GAHH! my life has been a lie :P

@redsox44: In British English, "judgement" is correct. In my eyes, you have been spelling it right all along.

The only thing I cared about in the Gears games was the campaigns. I don't like the way they've integrated the MP stuff into the campaign at all. Waves and timers and modifiers pffft..

I will not buy you Judgment.

Wow, that is shocking see to it listed out like that. I'm happy I didn't pre-order.

I'm really unimpressed. I wouldn't be buying this game for the story because Marcus taking off the doorag was enough resolution for me, and I don't need more GoW fiction set in this era. And I don't like the multiplayer direction, because like Jeff touched on, a lot of it seems like a step backwards.
