Advise against lock-on aiming? Any reasons why?

RDR was a lot more enjoyable in expert aim mode, disabled the normal lock-on but you could always fall back on dead eye when shit got hairy, such as when in a shootout on horseback. The standard on foot stuff combat stuff and missions were still more satisfying when you'd have to actually aim and shoot like any other first or third person shooter.

video is a bit skippy/laggy for me

Very likely, yeah. It's a game made by dudes and marketed towards dudes.

As someone who doesn't play GTA games, it's kind of nuts how much stuff the series has stolen from Saints Row over the years. That weapon wheel looks REALLY familiar.

First 2 minutes of this video were the most realistic depiction of street violence I've ever seen in a game...

The contextual hand icon in the game's fake web browser uses the middle finger. Man...

It's a little thing but all at once it summarized how this is a Grand Theft Auto game that works in spite of itself which is I think is the best description of the game from Jeff's review.

I'm waiting for the install to finish and would love to watch this.

But I'm so close to playing the game I don't want to have anything spoiled.

Trevor is a lot crazier than I expected, but it fits the game perfectly.

Man, Brad really likes to pull GTA4 out to critic in comparison to GTA5/Saints Row at any chance he gets. I mean, come on, that game came out in 2008.

I had zero interest in this game before watching this. Now I'm bummed I sold my 360 recently. Now commences the long wait for the (hopefully) PC version...

Wow. Just finished this and I am 100% sold. As someone who got bored with GTA IV and had no interest in the prior games, I am stoked to the play this. Bravo, Rockstar.

Wow, the heist missions look super awesome and it's real nice to see that, opposed to GTA IV, there's actually stuff to do in the open world. Also, holy goddamn, does this game look good, especially for a console game.

@milkman: THE WATER MAN. THE WATER IS SO FUCKING AMAZING. The opening title sequence and pan across the city after the prologue is nothing short of amazing at all the beautiful vistas on display.

Except for the weapon wheel. And the GPS stuff. And decent gunplay. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, I just think it's a sad double standard where GTA doesn't get called out for the kind of shit that Saints Row always got called out for.

Looking at my Steam profile, I've played at least 50 hours of Saints Row on PC, and that doesn't count my 100% playthroughs of the first two games on 360, and 30-50 hours of multiplayer in the original Saints Row. So, yeah. I've played Saints Row.

I wonder how much faster the character switch loading would be on PC

I should note this is NOT like a pc elitist thing question, just genuine curiosity, like if it would be a lot faster, or barely effected
