That was absolutely hilarious! I loved Vinny's detailed questions about the cockpit functions, lol. Most I've laughed at a QL since that farming simulator, thanks guys.

Used to play flight sims all the time as a teen too, got great at taking off but never quite got the hang of landing without the explosion.

Gah, you're killing me. Calling a bf 110 a bomber. It was a twin engine heavy fighter. The Germans called them zerstoerers, or destroyers.

Since I multi-tab browse, there were a couple of what seemed to be strange pauses and shifts in the audio when I Wasen't watching, and I figured it was lag, but I see now I was hearing the video stopping and starting after a crash :) 
 
Also, anybody know what they were doing wrong to, you know, always crash the plane?

I love these kinds of games, the original IL-2 was awesome. Like Vinny, my Dad is into these kinds of games too haha

Haven't ever played IL-2 before, but I've heard many good things about it. Seeing it, though, is honestly a tad disappointing. Funny in the hands of Vinny and Drew, but the game itself looks pretty old. The amount of "simness" in this flight sim is cool, but honestly after playing Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog, the simulation in this game doesn't seem all that impressive... Drew/Dave/Vinny would honestly have to spend something like 2-3 days playing and practicing just to memorize the startup procedures, not to mention the communications and weapons systems! I would not suggest a quick look of that... but I would suggest trying it out if you are looking for some sim-ass simmy sim.

I always love Vinny on the Quick Looks because he asks the questions that I ask myself "If you flip it will the guy fall out?"

Flying the bomber was pretty exciting to watch. Probably more than it should be.

I laughed really hard when both of them talked about this big knob in the cockpit labeled HEIZUNG. It seems to be really important and it haz a Z in it, but it just means heater/radiator.

Hilarious. Also a really nice quicklook about a game i rather don't want to play.

Also, I love how Vinny's idea of a flight simulator is Just Cause 2.

Also, Vinny is the best quicklooker. Pair him up with anyone and the quicklook immediately gets 100% better.

Honestly looks like a game from 10 years ago. The sounds are bad.

Vinny is the only one who knows how to play these games right. The amount of detail in those cockpits is ridiculous though.

Nope, you're wrong. I remember fondly playing Chuck Yeager, blue angels, F-15 strike fighter, TFX (love), Thunderhawk, Gunship 2000 and a bunch of other sims. :) That said, looking very much forward to playing this one as I'm a great fan of Il-2: 1946. Oleg is simply put a brilliant and good guy to boot.

Just got my full CH Products HOTAS setup back after having had to leave it when I moved last fall (and I also use TrackIR), but CoD will have to wait as I finally buckled and got the "starforcishly" protected LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2, as well as Black Shark. MAN, Black Shark is really friggin' detailed. I spent 10-15 minutes just trying to get the propellers started.

Love goes out to all the sim developers out there. We're still here and we always want more :D

Considering the rest of the game, I am extremely impressed that the propeller bent o.o

Seems silly that people can go for the quest with typing less than 4 characters..

God, this quick look is so good. Fucking Drew and Vinny should do every quick look from now on.

Drew and Vinny QLs are truly something special.

I can only imagine the reaction of console people if during a Halo/Killzone match the game froze up and a pop-up window told them the game "stopped working". PC is still awesome anyway.
